Warlock Builds?

valneras#1066 valneras Member Posts: 3 Arc User
Hey guys. I have been a noob in this game (but not in the genre) and i like it a lot. I do though have trouble finding updated builds for individual classes. I am trying to build a warlock and finding a good pve build for him its been a struggle so far. I have been googling for days but i cant see to find a good resource for builds, even in these forums.

Any suggestions? Thanx in advance.

Thanx! Is this one considered to be a solid build to start with and develop further to my playstyle?

Okay, I am a nub SW so just bear with me. When the green bar thing on the left of the screen fills up and you get the 6 green glowing circles...what does that mean?

That is your soul spark bar. When it's full, you can use the Soulbinder specific powers such as Soul Scorch, Immolation Spirits, etc.
    I aim to misbehave

It seems to only fill up in longer fights though. So is it even all that useful? Or does it only come into play during boss fights (since they are typically longer fights)?

I know I must sound really dum, but I really have never noticed the bar thing came into play. Maybe it has something to do with the powers I use. I typically only use Dread Theft, Fiery Bolt, Harrowstorm, Warlocks bargain. Is there something I am missing?

"Various Soulbinder spells siphon the life force from targets, granting you a Soul Spark. Critically striking a foe also grants you a Soul Spark.
You may have up to 30 Soul Sparks at any given time and they passively increase your Life Steal by .08% each. When combat ends you are healed for .5% of your max life for each Soul Spark you possess and they are consumed. Soul Sparks last until consumed or combat ends."

With higher crit chance you build more faster. Also by using Essence Defiler as your main at-will. It's a basic mechanick, gives you bonus lifesteal, heal, more damage (if you take the fury feat) and also works well with some passives (Dust to Dust and borrowed time). Also, Soul Scorch is your hardest hitting single target encounter (with no cooldown, that uses up your soulspark bar)
It benefits more from longer figths, but helpful in shorter figths, and in solo play.
My story is truly a grand tale! Of course, any story about me is going to be grand simply by virtue of the main character.

Spam essence defiler to get sparks and every crit gives you 1 spark ->lostmauth's set makes it lot faster.
Borrowed time heals you when you have sparks and dust to dust gives you AP at the end of battle, if you have sparks left -> you can use dailies more often.
Immolation spirits gives you sparks too, when they hit opponents.
Harrow storm gives sparks when it crits with every tick, Dread theft gives only one. Hadars grasp is another enconter that gives you plenty of sparks when it crits.
So.. More crit, better spark gain.

since you are a noob :)
I highly recommend to run this build, but it´s also not that tanky and you should never go PVP using it
you can skip that one point in parting blasphemy
    (hope you can read all)
