After adjusting the timers the points contributed towards the phase goal have to be greatly increased as well. Otherwise it's effectively impossible to get near gold and most groups struggle with silver as well.

Ditto to loboguild's post above. I was in a group that quickly melted all mobs as they spawned and we BARELY were able to scratch out a silver. Seems like gold is completely out of reach.
