I have read other posts that recommend the drowned shore weapon set for PVP and I understand why so, but would like some insight from others on using a twisted set on a scoundrel build. Is using a twisted set just "not the thing to do" in PVP?
i would not play a scoundrel in pvp at all. No damage and relatively 0 control thanks to tenacity and elven battle, damage is 0 too, you are probably healing them with your attack. but in general: TR lacks self sustain hence drowned weapons are generally considered the best. i dont see twisted weapons as a bad choice if you are running an already high defense build. This means: negation, a bit of defense everytime you can and defense sh boon. Maybe a ring of sieging +4 too. without negation stacking defense for me is worthless. gwfs are running around with 170%+ armor pen...even considering armor pen reduction (65%) they would still pierce 60% of your defense. just as a note: stacking defense should never stop you from stacking deflect even more.
I got my twisted and am very pleased that I did. With my high deflect and life steal plus my T. Negation and my mount bonuses, staying alive is not an issue at the moment. Boost in power is nice and for the moment I have a "non-typical" TR build. That is not meant as a cut to anyone, but with my cookie cutter, 4K, high crit GWF that EVERYONE else and their brother has, it is nice to be outside of what is considered normal/best even if the results are not what they could be. Thanks to everyone who commented. God Bless.
