Hello,
My wife and I recently started playing this and are having fun. We are long time MMO players and I've been a fan of Forgotten Realms since it first came out in the late 1980's. I had to pick Half Orc for the race for this class, I got a 20 in Str in creation but I would like to race swap to the dragonborn when I can.
I've heard that starting stats, like the pen and paper RPGs, actually mean more in this game than in other MMOs where you basically have minimal difference in races, just play what you think looks best. Is this true?
What are some good specs for a more pve focused GWF?
Appreciate any other tips or advice, thanks.

There are a couple of decent guides out there, either Lazalia or Leah Knowles should give you a good idea of what your spec should look like (except for some fine-tuning details in endgame, the larger body of work should be fairly noncontroversial).
