Game keeps crashing due to Anti-Phishing protection...help!

As I've been playing since beta, I still log in via the old Cryptic launcher, but for the last two or three days, upon opening the launcher, my Kaspersky security's Anti- Phishing mode keeps popping up this alert: Dangerous URL blocked;http://launcher.playneverwinter.com/launcher_login;http://launcher.playneverwinter.com/launcher_login;Heuristic Analysis;Cryptic Game Launcher;02/25/2016 13:01:46....although it still lets me log into the game, it is causing my game to crash repeatedly. Not sure where I should report this or ask for help resolving the issue, so any suggestions would be most appreciated...thanks!

I'm not sure why it is being triggered but Kapersky is definitely one of those over-sensitive anti-viruses that returns a lot of false positives. There should be a way to tell Kaperspky to ignore certain programs but I am afraid my experience with Kapersky is very limited since I prefer much less intrusive services. Perhaps somebody else will know the correct way to tell Kapersky to stop being silly or at the very least I have no doubt a search on the internet will be fruitful in that regard.

As for reporting it I'll move it to bug reports and that should do it although I can make no promises on when they will investigate and resolve why Kapersky is getting a false positive.

You may also file an in game bug report or support ticket in order to inform the developers if you would prefer to go that course.

Thanks for the info...am working on a work-around. Will contact Kaspersky to see why they're giving me grief over a trusted application I've been using for many years. Can you tell me where I would go to in options/settings to change the DirectX settings? Forums suggested that may fix the error code I get when game crashes, which is constantly today

I believe you may be refering to this: -d3d9

Simply type that into the command line box in the launcher options. Alternatively there are ways within the in game options to change DirectX settings although I can not remember where specifically. The command line version can resolve various issues people have when launching the game but the in game option should work as well. Try them and see if it works.

Actually I'm still having constant crashing problems, but I'm working on it...haven't tried putting his info in the command line, but that's my next step....we'll see...cross your fingers for me
