Saving; Deleting - 3D editor

Can you save or delete in the 3D editor?
Cuz I've looked, but it seems like I can't save my progress unless I exit back to the Foundry. I've been disconnected a couple times when arranging little details, so I'd love to be able to save mid-progress without exiting and reentering.
Also, I can't seem to delete when I'm in there either. Am I just being blind or is there really no delete in the 3D editor mode?
