Do see your guild members quite often, anytime, any where.
What do you do with your members' alts that are not yet 3K+ IL? Would you push or help them to gear up to 3K ASAP?

Only your main needs to be 3k. The number of alts you're allowed in the guild depends on your rank - by rank 3 (senior member) there isn't a limit.

We removed some inactives. There is quite a bit of space available to anyone interested. Our new requirement is that you have fbi unlocked and be up to date on the new content. so it looks like the webpage is mostly not used too much anymore for alliance communication? In alliance chat the other day I mentioned the idea of having a alliance stronghold siege and there was a good amount of interest. is there an online area to try and organize something like that among the guilds? you need so many online at once that it seems like it would be best if it could be announced and a day planned for people to plan to be there for it rather than trying to call it out. lol.

We have quite a bit of activity on our Forums/website. I mentioned early on to our Guild Leader @acathlasjm about the possibility of an Alliance offshoot or section but we weren't too sure of the logistics/desire at that point. We organise a lot through the website plus Guild mail but I think an Alliance wide one would be a good idea.

It sounds like yours is more active than ours so it would make more sense to direct people your way. Our activity is kinda patchy.

I understand member management would be increased, especially confirming membership, but having a central communication point would be useful.

I'm all for an alliance forum, but at the same time, some may see it as a hassle. Why not just create an xbox live alliance club? You can organize events in there and create parties, etc. Really nice feature they added. Also, who's to keep up with all of the members? armadeon...

Lol well when I played Guild Wars we had an alliance of 1000 members with a very active forum and it was also on proboards.

The forum admin had a system where people that enrolled on the forum chose their guild via a dropdown menu on signup and each guild leader had some admin abilities over members that chose their guild.

This enabled them to set guild rank which gave access to subforums for the various ranks (e.g. officers had a separate area) and all leaders had moderator roles for their subsection as well as general areas.

Of course, this guy was much better at these things than me so I'd need to put in a lot of research to get it right

Not that this is my conversation, but we have an alliance club thing, it seems ok especially since I don't have to leave my console to go find a computer to use a decent web browser to hit a board. The membership requests can be approved by anyone that is named to do so, we let all guild leaders have approval rights, that way it is less work for one person to go look up all the names...

this alliance club is all new to me. no idea what it is. but I'm for whatever if it allows some kind of rudimentary organization to happen. the old message of the day thing works great in a single guild but when you're dealing with all the guilds there is no message system. there isn't even an intraguild email you can use.

We have a club for the leaders only currently. It's worked out pretty well so far. The only thing is that if you turn chat notifications on, you'll likely be bombarded if people post in there. Like Sundance said, all the guild leaders would have control over who they invite, etc.

I still think a multi guild forum would be ideal. it's too bad more don't use facebook because they have a pretty good group system. I have groups (for the art glass world) that have a few thousand members and they are a breeze to keep on top of. ps4 has a club type thing too.. but it's not something you can organize. there aren't branches and trees it's all just a chat log.
