My change in opinion of this game came because of mod 6 (elemental evil) and everything that has come so far afterwards.
There were alot of great things that came out of the expansion. People used to want and be able to run the dungeons with a team of only DPS. Having the dungeons be more of a challenge and needing tanks and healers more was a great thing. Before elemental evil almost everyone I saw playing was a Crontrol Wizard, Rogue, or Great Weapon Fighter. We rarely saw a Guardian Fighter or Warlock. The expansion did a great job bringing more balance between the classes. I created one character for each class but my main and first character is a Cleric. On the same topic of dungeons I also do not like how ALL of them were made more difficult. Yes I enjoy challenge but when my friends are not on I can not do pick up groups (PUGS) or ques. This is because the dungeons all pretty much require a full organized team to beat. Prior to mod 6 I could at least do PUGS for tier 1 dungeons when my friends were offline then do tier 2 with them. I could not do tier 2 dungeons without them because people would kick me just for being a cleric. Then there was Castle Never which was a challenge even with my friends. Another problem I have is that you can get the gear from running the same 2 dungeons 20 times over. It used to be that you could only get certain pieces from specific dungeons. I liked this it forced people to play a variety of dungeons. Now if I try to que for any dungeon out side of Lair of Lostmauth or Temple of the Spider it is going to take a while. IT IS ALSO HARDER FOR TO GAIN MY DAILY AMOUT OF ATRAL DIAMONDS BECAUSE OF THIS. I like the way dungeons used to be.
Elemental Evil did a great job bringing more balance between the classes by buffing the warlock's soul puppet, etc. I am happy to see the variety. My problem when it comes to classes though is ONE FEAT OR POWER SHOULD NEVER EVER DEFINE A PERSONS ROLE. This is not just for clerics but for almost every class, it just simply is the worst for clerics and paladins. I have always played the healers in MMORPG's, whether its called a priest or cleric or something else. I love this play style. Prior to mod 6 almost all clerics were faithful. I was always virtuous because I like how it can provide alot of buffs to the team when I heal them. At first when people realized the good of the gift of haste feat I was happy because people wanted my main in thier dungeon runs (compared to being kicked alot before). Slowly but surely I have grown to hate this feat more then anything else. With the paladin its all about the bubble daily. They could have any feats and any encounter powers and most people will think they are being a good tank as long as they have that glowing blue bubble. Well let me tell those people this if the paladin is using all damaging moves and and nothing to give him/ner tempoary hit pionts he his going to die no matter how much haste I give him. This has happened many times in dungeons and often I am the one who gets blamed and kicked. They blame me because as long as the paladin is trying to use the bubble its not his fault. Another thing about gift of haste, I CHOSE THIS CLASS WAY BEFORE ELEMENTAL EVIL BECAUSE I LIKE TO HEAL AND BUFF ALLIES like I do in other MMORPG's. Healers are always given HAMSTER in every game I have played so yeah I expect it sometimes. WHAT I CAN NOT STAND IS BEING TOLD MY JOB IS NOT TO HEAL. Yes I am a female gamer and by boyfriend plays with me. He on every MMORPG has always played a paladin (tanking one). So naturally we already fit into the combo most people look for but we hate feeling like one thing the job we have to do to please other people. So we dont always please. He sometimes will change his rotation and throw a dagger istead of using the bubble. I will do what I like and heal/buff everyone, not just him, and give eveyone haste and improved defense. ITS AMAZING WE CAN STILL BEAT THE DUNGEONS, in fact our dungeon team has beaten grey wolf den in less then half and hour. We all have gear scores around 2500. You guys did a great job balancing things out between the different classes but now you need to balance things out between the different feats and powers. You guys need to do this soon again because ONE FEAT OR POWER SHOULD NEVER DEFINE A PERSONS ROLE.
Then there is the thing of course you guys have heard plenty about. Leveling from 1 to 60 is fun, full of lore, and feels like a natural progression. LEVELING FROM 60 to 70 IS AN AWFUL AGONIZING NIGHTMARE AND LEVLING OTHER CHARACTERS FEELS PIONTLESS TO GO THROUGH ALL THAT AGAIN. AS MY BOYFRIEND PUT IT ONE DAY "THOSE VIGILANCE QUEST ARE LIKE SAWING OF A LEG WITH A BUTTER KNIFE." I feel I do not need to say more on the topic as you have probably heard plenty.
Then strongholds came out. Alot of potential but I feel this destroyed the game even more for me. If want this game to be filled with money players and only a few who pkay for free, then you are the right track with this. Upgrading the stronghold take so much that you either have to have some big money players or a full guild of over 100 active people to feel like you are making any progress. My guild has over 40 people who play a couple times a week so casual no big money players. I was in a couple larger guilds but they all usually require certain activity or coffer offerings and I am sorry I work full time and go to school full time so I was kicked for lack of activity everytime. The stringholdsstrongholds was a good idea but it has tipped things in favor of money players and people who really are on everyday so much that many of the casual players like me are not really playing anymore. Why? Because with the larger guilds get the better gear, better overload, enchantments, awesome boons, etc. They win everytime at PVP. Before strongholds I could PVP sometimes and got a couple pieces of the burning gear. Now I can't anymore. Players feel that now more then ever that they need to pay money to compete so you are loosing casual players. I feel strongholds could be better if it didnt require so much to upgrade. Strongholds as it is currently is more stress then it is worth.
One good thing that helped some of the more casual players is VIP it offers lots of benefits and can easily be gotten through exchanging astral diamonds. It is not enough the balance out everything with strongholds and Elemental Evil. As I typed this all out my Cleric was just sitting in protectors enclave becasue my friends are on in the evening and I feel I cannot PVP or dungeon so what is there for me to do? I might as well go back to World of Warcraft again...... I would rather pay for a balanced game then watch this free to pkay slowly turn into a pay to win.

Want balance...make the OP a Healadin
Played with just a gf, same thing. Everything was fine.
The fact is that, outside of a devo pally combo, you cannot beat dungeons faster than if you have a dc and gf combo. Some one mentioned that this is challenging (the dc/gf combo).. it is not. If both players know what they are doing you will run through dungeons.
Think of bubble/haste as beginner. Solo pallys (bubble or devo), solo gfs or dcs in dungeons are a thing. Put a good dc and gf together and you're on easy mode.
