Retrieving the Eye of Lethandra

When you run a lair quest in the Dread Ring and get to the arcane coffer at the end, one rare but possible reward can be the Eye of Lethandra artifact. If you do get lucky roll this artifact, the reward screen does not behave properly. When the reward screen is first displayed, the only option at the bottom is Press B to Close. A week ago I lost out on retrieving the artifact but I have since learned and verified that there is an easy workaround to retrieve the artifact. If you press D-pad Up and/or D-pad Down as if scrolling through a list of rewards, the screen will refresh and the options Press A to Take and Press X to Take All will be added to the option list which will then allow you to retrieve the artifact as you would normally be able to do.

Thanks for the tip. Many have lost that artifact to the coffer.....

Wasnt aware of that work around and heard of some who missed out (search for the dude who recorded him getting 6 from multiple gauntlets only to lose all 6).

I got lucky as fook by getting mine for my DC my first trip in w a stack of 20 gauntlets. Then months later first trip in w my CW w only 3 gauntlets

Also, if you have given up trying for this artifact. The New Life Lockboxes will feature the Eye in the loot table. They will be available in the AH for purchase. I also believe I read that the new tooltip if you pull one out of the lair quest after this new box is out that they are Bind to Account now.

I got lucky and picked up three on my cleric a couple of months ago with 50 ish Thayan Antiquities. Spammed twice in my guild chat and decided against it the third time lol.

I've gotten 2 with adamantine gauntlets

Best I've got is a Greater Mark of Potency out of that chest and I've had the Adamantine for as long as you can have it (standard play not boosting with gifts etc). Normally get Rank 5s and occasionally a Rank 6.

I lucked out and rolled my first Eye with an alt that only had the mithral guantlets which I lost due to not being able to retrieve it. A week later my main rolled one with the admantine guantlets but I was able retrieve it cause I asked a player who was selling theirs how they did it. I still have one character that hasen't rolled one at all.

But the good news is that if you get lucky and roll one, you should be able to retrieve it from the coffer using the method I mentioned in the opening post instead of getting misled by the interface and leave it behind.
