Add a slim chance (5%?) at some new resource in ToDG, PoM, Demo and EDemo, the purpose of which would be ring crafting, of course.
Requirements: +1, +2, +3 and +4 versions of the sought ring + resource (different for each ring) + [insert amount] AD + [insert amount] time; one ring production allowed at one time; add a reasonable fail chance, if necessary.
Example: doing VT/MC (around Mod 3) for a chance at resource drop to create our weapons.
Result: less grind, happier people.
Under current conditions, a collector has better chances at winning the lottery than completing this ring collection. You could decrease that time frame to a few years with enough time required to craft one ring. It's some hope against the terror that it RNG.
Edit:
Gonna add a tweak to the above. if the resource is ring specific, make it unbound. If it's generic (usable for all rings), it can be BtA.
