So many people complain that PvP is not balanced. I agree, and sometimes it is sad, I love this game but both when my team fight higher IL, or when lower IL ppl fight me, it is not really fun because the gap in the stats.
So I was thinking, I played other games before that had similar domination and pvp m aps. And they had stats boosters for lower geared players to be at least be able to fight more equally.
So I was thinking, NEVERWINTER could have something like that!!
Let's say for example, if a 4k IL fights a 2k IL, the 2k IL will have an aura buff that will raise his IL to rank 4k. so if that dude uses a dark rank 7, that dark will be boosted to rank 12 during the match just because the 4k IL dude is there.
This would be appliably for oAnly gear and enchantments. but armor and weapon enchantments should remain the same.
Also, the boost should be adaptative if the players switch the gears during the match, so i t would avoid players to try to exploit by starting a match without wearing gear for example.
So things that shouldn't be touched by the boost:
-weapon/armor enchantments
-armor kits
-boons
things affected by IL
-tenacity
-regular stats
-enchantments
-gear level.
What do you guy think?

Weapon and armor enchantments are not affected. What is the point of playing.
don't you agree that that the IL gap between a 4K and a 3K, or even 2k is too much? do you think i t is fun for a 4k fight a 2k and vice versa?
Do you know the price in zen from a single rank 12?

It's made even worse now you have people wearing Lionsmane plus have guild boons versus those in Burning with none of these extra boons - and of course drains & wards...
I got over my recent "I'm not doing pvp any more" huff (I'd gone through several complete stomps due to drains & ppl with 3.5k tenacity). I realised I was losing 21k AD per day - so now I just go in, run 2 matches on each of my 3 L70's and just aim for enough points to get paid. Don't get me wrong, I always play to win, I just don't go in expecting it any more and it is a lot less fun than it used to be.
Another thing is when you queue in a premade you are immediately ranked to go up against any other premade that's queueing.
My guild are mostly new players, most with very low tenacity & few boons but they wanted to run a 5 man for fun - I came with them on my pally (2.3k IL, burning set) and as I had warned them we came up against a 'real' premade, fully geared and using drains & my guys were stomped.
Someone else suggested a personal pvp rank, like bronze, silver, gold ranks so you are put in groups of people of just your rank. The trouble is there are fewer and fewer people queueing due to current inequalities. Any system that broke people into smaller categories could result in a 1 hour wait for a match.
Maybe your suggestion would be an easier fix.

Some players may not think it is fair, but not everyone can spend too much money in the game, and I believe everyone who spends too much money in the game is competitive and if really competitive would like something to balance for the players that cannot afford so much. Some players even have dedication to farm and stuff, but the game doesn't reward these players properly or fast enough to keep up with people who can afford. I am in no way criticizing who spent money in the game. I spent hundreds of bucks in this game, and I don't regret it. I can't go too crazy because I am a full time student, and I got to pay school, etc. and I also understand that there are players that cannot afford anywhere near me. As a pvp lover, I would love to see something to balance this aspect of the game.
If pvp is more balanced and there is less ITEM LEVEL gap between players, the player pool of pvpers and ques will be significant LARGER, and the pvp will be alot more competive. Why does guild wars 2, and similar games have so many players and competition? because their PvP is not affected by p2w at all. They still return a lot of money to the company spending money with pve and cosmetic related stuff... so I think NW has a better combat system than these games mentioned above, but unfortunatelly, the IL gap from players who can afford versus player who cannot afford drives people away from pvp and from the game itself.
