Costume editor questions

Hello, i've noticed the foundry's costumes are very limited, do i get what i see or am i missing something? Do i have to unlock something in the game to get more out of the costume editor or am i stuck with what i have?

I even see some pieces on preset npcs that i can't find when creating a character from scratch, do i have to select that npc to get the costume pieces i want or what?

The Foundry as a whole is very limited. What u c is what u got to use, nothing is pay/play/whatever-walled/locked. Yes, u have to use the particular preset mob if u want its armor if its not listed in the "armor" menu in advanced mode. Some presets cant be changed in any way (yeti for example). Also its unwise to change the height of an huge (i mean those humongous) mob, for the sliders max value is way below its default size (the HP bar position wont be right above the mobs "head", its pretty annoyin).
