Aranea Active Bonus
I asked about the Aranea companion in NWLC channel over the weekend as I continue to search for alternatives to the ones I currently have (Ioun Stone of Radiance, Air Archon, Blink Dog, Wild Hunt Rider and War Dog). Someone mentioned they used Aranea on GWF but suggested that Fire and Air Archons would be better choices.
Now as a Combat HR who specialises in Clear the Ground, would the active bonus of Aranea not be comparable to say the Fire Archon, whose damage boost only kicks in at under 50% HP? WHR active bonus was decent when I played PF but as SW I don't switch stances often enough to proc the WHR ability reliably. I would only use the War Dog on solo content so I have two slots open. Intellect Devourer is another option but once again, just like the Fire Archon, I want to explore other options. I would love Lightfoot Thief but chances are I'll never get that one.
