Is it worth making Dragonflight Armour Elemental?

So my GWF is just getting his Dragonflight Gear. Got my helm and greaves and still to get the chest piece. I'm not getting the arms as it doesn't really give me anything and I lose crit so not bothered too much. Plus you only need 3 pieces for the set bonus.

Anyway, what stat improvements would I get from making it Elemental? I got my Black Ice Shaping up to 4 but it'll mean quite a bit of Black Ice Farming/Refining and a few Unified Elements which aren't cheap and I can't make them. When I checked about making my Elven Ward gear Elemental, the stat increase wasn't that great so it may be the same for the Dragonflight gear.

Anybody got any stats on this? Tried the Wiki but there's no page for the Dragonflight Gear stats as far as I could see.

    If you can make it Elemental through the Black Ice Professions tab you should just be able to see the completed Armour by highlighting it?

    Then it should compare stats for you on the screen. I know with all other armours you make in the Professions tab you can see the end results without actually making it.

    Thanks I'll give that a try. I can't make it yet but I'll see if I can see the stats anyway.

    You can also check the armor in the collections section.

    Last time I check it isn't much of an increase so unless your at the peak of your build I would advise you to hold off on the elemental version unless ya like wasting alot of AD. :p

    Its a game of small increments in stats from many places that adds up to build your character. You dont get much but its something. Its more of a statis symbol to i think. Lol

    If you are sure your keeping a piece ur lookin to upgrade, it "can" be a cheap stat boost compared to AD required to upgrade rank 8+ enchants

    If you have it id say do it, farm heroics for black ice so you can justify getting Artifact refine at same time

    Anyone know if I put an armour upgrade on something, then upgrade it to Elemental via Professions, do you keep the upgrade or does it get wiped?

    Technically its the same armour, just a tiny bit better.

    Any kits you have on it will be wiped. I waited until i had new kits ready, then upgraded

    Ok ta, I thought as much... looking at the small increases in some of the Elven armours if you had a +100 kit in there you would actually lose more stats by upgrading it lol... they should increase the stats for the elemental versions of stuff.

    Yea it's kinda meh. I'm wondering when under darks going to drop. No sense in blowing all of that effort for something that's going to be relevant for a, probably not very long, period.

    Not sure if the Underdark armour is worth it. Not found much info but the Drowcraft armour isn't supposed to be much if any better than the Dragon flight armour. That's for a GWF. Although to be honest the Dragonflight armour wasn't much better than the Alliance stuff. Suppose we'll wait and see.

    Hmm. In all honesty, it didn't seem all that great for my CW. Of course I'll take any upgrades as they come..these just seem really expensive, particularly with that whole master profession thing.

    Update. So finally made my final piece of Dragon flight gear elemental. Did my head, chest and feet. Its made almost no difference. Like previous posts I would only recommend this as possibly the final thing to rank up. Taking an enchant from 9 to 10 probably makes more difference.

    Now to make/buy some crit kits to stick on.

    It was worth the upgrade for me as I stack Defense and every little bit helps my ITF Buff. I really had nothing else to do so why not.

    Your a gwf correct? Then the Drowcraft bracers will be a nice replacement to the Elven ones or the DF ones, but the rest of your gear just use the DF gear. :3 Be ready to replace your Artifact Weapons though.

    Yep a GWF. I was thinking the same. I've still got the Elven Braces as the Dragonflight ones didn't give me much and lost me more so I think I'll certainly swap to the Drowcraft ones. And make them Elemental.

    On the subject of weapons, how much difference do the Twisted ones make? Like everyone else I hope they announce a double RP soon. I know the Artifact gear always double refines now so that won't be so bad but I've got stacks of Resonance stones I want to get straight onto my gear to get it to Legendary.

    Also does anyone know if the Artifact Stat Bonus for the main and offhand are ported over to the new set? Or is it going to cost me another 600K in Cubes of Augmentation to get them rolled to what I want?

    Most likely going to cost you another 600k sadly. I don't even bother with it, there's a lot better things to spend AD on. :3

    I was lucky with my 1st Artefact equipment, rolled the feature I wanted without any cubes and 1 Cube got me +391 Combat Advantage... was so happy :)

    Until the Elemental Artefact equipment... I had to unlock every feature and the one I wanted was last... then about 20 cubes to get a decent +390.

    Swings and roundabouts... sometimes you get lucky sometimes you do not, all hail RNG :)
