Cryptic Please Fix This: Logging Back In While Inside Tiamat Puts You In a Different Instance!?

This is a horrible design flaw for the Tiamat fight. I was in a great group, spent 15 minutes inside and was ready to beat Tiamat when "You've Lost Connection" happens. I quickly log back in but to my horror the game put me in a different instance. The new instance had consisted of half a raid of N00bs, most of them AFK, and Tiamat at full health.

Surely you can code Tiamat so we log back in to the same instance?

Not a happy camper.

    Most likely what happened was that someone managed to get to the instance you disconnected from, thus making the instance full, so the game was forced to put you on a different one. This isn't really a bug, it's a feature. Sorry though. It is very annoying.

    During the time it took me to log back in someone else entered Tiamat and got inside my instance? I guess that's possible. Bummer though :)

    With 15 minutes having passed, it's no longer possible for anyone to just waltz into the instance. There's an at most 5 minute window where people can wander in and out. From what I've seen it may be possible to switch instances manually in the usual fashions--the little mini-map icon goes blue when you're out of combat, unlike in IWD when you're locked into a particular instance. I've not actually tried to do this, but if it works then someone might have simply been in a crummy instance (the one you logged back into), checked the list for a zone with a free spot, and swapped and got lucky--or maybe someone said in zone chat that their instance number was going to succeed and someone capitalized on the vacancy.

    It is possible to change instances. We used to farm this way. Get a quick kill, change instances and if you're lucky get a second win. Now that hardly anyone does Tiamat, if I was stuck on a losing team I'd try to switch over to another instance in the hopes of getting a win.
