Better spell options and Wider weapon options

Hey been playing the game for quite some time now, and i can tell you i really do enjoy the game, its fun and can get quite addicting to play, however I'm a bit thrown off about the spells and weapon options. The "fire" Mages have a limited amount of actual fire spells, At times I find myself casting the same spells i did before choosing a path. However the NPC enemies it seems has impressive fire and lighting spells, It would be nice to see a fire or storm mage with actual spells that you can actual tell the difference. Tossing a fireball or firing a lighting bolt would be a nice start, D&D has a variety of spells to choose from so see what works with the players and go for it. Another close topic is the weapon choice. Yes, you can change the "look" of your weapons however to solely base the figthers (both Guardian and Great Weapon even Paladin) on single weaponery limits creativity and uniqueness. Seeing every one run around with the same weapons sword, two-handed sword, and mace gets boring and lacks any excitement really. I wouldn't mind seeing a Kantana, Scimitar, Crossbow, or maybe others, again the D&D universe has a wide selection to choose from so open the gates. Plus I always thought mages always carried a staff lol, anyways i do enjoy the game and let me know what you guys think.
