Bilethorn

I have seen a few HRs of late running with Bilethorn, which looks freaking cool imo. I asked one of them about it and he said it was good for pve, although he had never tried Plague Fire, which is what I have. I do a lot of solo stuff so Plague Fire is handy for reducing the mobs' defences, but in group content its almost guaranteed that someone else will be running the same version of Plague Fire (perfect) as me.

So how is the damage of Bilethorn, which is also AoE by the way I understand it?

    Bilethorn is total HAMSTER damage wise. Plague fire is better for sure but at trascendent level bilethorn has a nice aoe damage that somehow procs lostmouth aoe.
    I think they just bought it because its cheap nothing else

    Bilethorn damage ticks are generally not aoe btw. Only at transcendent level once you reach some bilethorn stacks there is an aoe effect
