A question about Damage Resistance

As the title suggests, i have got a question how DR work, especially taking the negation enchantment and the new siege ring into consideration. We will ignore tenecity in this example.

Lets say i get 60% DR via my defense score.
I also wear a Trans Negation for 30% DR.
In addition i also have a siege ring equipt for another 30% DR.

Now lets say i get hit by an attack with 70% Resistance ignored. How high is my DR asfter RI?

If the Negation and Siege Ring work on the same layer as the normal DR, it is capped at 80%, which would mean, my DR would be 10% with 70% RI
If those 2 items work on different layers, my DR would be 50%.

Another question related to this topic:
Lunging Strike and Bullcharge also increase the DR by 50% over 3 secs. Is this DR a layer of its own, or does it count towards the 80% cap?

AFAIK your damage resistance will be max(80%, 60% + 30% + 30%) = 80% (assuming the additional DR is additive).

I remember a very old post from Gentlemencrush stating that the CAP kicks in after RI was applied.

    Thanks for the answer :-)

So if the Cap kicks in after RI, that would mean, in the above example, the DR after RI will be 50% (60+30+30-70)?
