Changing events on us? Really?

Why do you bother posting events on the calendar if you're going to swap them on us two days beforehand?

I'm the guild leader for a small guild.

We're making great progress with our stronghold, but we needed that double seals event for T2 gear.

We'd planned for it and got guys in different time zones to change their schedules around for this weekend.

That, sirs, is a HAMSTER move on your part.

Double guild marks is great if you're in a large guild and can already buy armor from your marketplace.

For small guilds, Elven armor is still the best option available, you had the event on the schedule already, and you just jerked us around - once again!

Please use common courtesy when somebody gets the next genius idea two days before a previously scheduled event.

Wait they changed the double seals? Why would anyone need double marks at the moment? Many are already maxed because the guild halls and marketplaces aren't high enough to buy anything worthwhile.

No point of Looking at the Calendar They'll be doing that for a bit so just Pray they don't change 2x Ad and 2x Refinement. The 2x Seals was a small loss but it'll appear sooner or later again

You're right, it will come around again.... and I will continue to work to get my guys geared up... but the constant lack of consideration that they show for players shows their class and quality.

Honestly, the small, thoughtless things they do to jerk us around are worse than the big things. The AD changes, while foolish and ill conceived were an actual attempt to solve a real problem.

Things like this are just a slap to the face for players who have been loyal. They show that we're just cattle for them, not important.

Again - why bother with a calendar if you're not going to stick to it?

You seem to be in the boat I was in for a while A small Guild, correct? For me I split from my old guild "The Chocolate Milk Squad" and joined Well LGPG as for my guild mates they left and joined "Well Endowned" and "Denail" Eh not even sure if I spell those right. *Shrug*

Yeah, 20 players right now. We have a couple of newer players but the majority are veterans with multiple characters to gear up. Double seals is no joke for my guys.

The gear you salvage with Guild Marks is a THIRD of the value of any T1 or aT2...not to mention, IF you can't donate to the coffer, for whatever the reason...then you don't get any Marks at all.

Best case scenario...you DO get to donate, it is NOTHING compared to farming dungeons for loot and seals!

I simply do not understand why they continue to hurt the few that have stayed loyal to this game. You (Cryptic/PWE) have to know all of this, but choosing to ignore it anyway. I will be blunt here...

This game, I fear, is no longer a sink...rather a toilet!

Where are you getting your info?

It's still on my calendar for 2x guild marks (blah, already maxxed) and Wonders of Gond (Yeah) beginning tomorrow. So, if it was removed, it is back.

Double seals was replaced with double guild marks a few hours ago.

The members of my guild were seriously looking forward to the 2x Seals event this weekend, planned on running multiple groups for dungeons and taking advantage of the dragonflight to get seals as well for our under 2k members. 2x guild marks does us absolutely no good when all we can buy with them is the starting stuff like food or Orc Overloads; this gives us no incentive to do more in the game or push harder to farm the event when many of us are running out of leeway before we hit the max limit.

Charming, this does not help me with my guild focused on new games recently released. I was planning for Seals. I will focus on 2xAstral.

THIS!!!! I have players in World of Tanks, Call of Duty, and Fallout 4, part timing Neverwinter. A double seals event would have pulled them back in. Double guild marks? When some are already maxed?

This is so regular on the PC we don't even register an event until it is live, unless it's a 50% zen cost sale. we noticed when that disappeared from the calendar. We've had so many CTAs and other events change within a week of the date, I personally consider the calendar only a guideline. After all online experiences may change.

Wow, who needs 2x marks? 2x seals then 2x ad made sense and would have had a lot of people I know on and grinding.

Sadly doesn't matter to me though as I'm banned for doing something I didn't do and they won't provide any proof so I guess I miss nothing.

umm, you "wouldn't" take away an event that your players have been waiting on, like forever- and a day- would you
-you "shouldn't" take away an event 2 days before launch- its very unprofessional and it will make the people that were waiting on it very mad...
-you "couldn't" make another bad mistake to the population so soon- without loosing the few that were hanging in there.
-I feel like I have been taken advantage of-again
-its like you gave us a free bag of chips- only to yank it out of our hands- and give us only 1 chip- with a smile on your face
and looking at us like- that will fill your tummy- when we were supposed to get the whole snack...
try this:
give StrumSlinger a much deserved reward for his long hours of work- then- yank it away, only giving him a small portion

lol seriously get a grip people, its just an event that has changed dates in a free video game. The event will come back around on a different date. Play the game then, simples

There are far more important things to worry about than double seals, considering they have only just raised the amount you actually get from the bosses and bags etc. Run an Epic 4-6 days in a row and you have a piece of Elven armour its not really that choresome any more.

Tell you what they could have just kept the amount of seals earned at the lower amount and kept the double seals event... then there would have been very little difference in the amount received anyway.

Jeeez all the time complaining on here probably could have got that person through a dungeon for some seals

that was my question. LOL. it's in game. It is under the social tab. (I think that's what it's called, it's the one with the mail and guild stuff)

As far as I remember it was always 2x Guild Marks this weekend.... not seals, but what do I know? I don't really care either way.

Agreed. They just bumped up the amount of seals you can earn. There's no shortage of people spamming chat looking for someone to run a dungeon with. Kicking doesn't seem to be an issue so get on and get some seals!

I do get your original point of maybe the dev`s letting people know of changes to the game event dates, but as I said they only just upped the amount you get from the bags and bosses so it is already like we have perm double seals... no need for an event to make it even more so soon

Upping the seal count is irrelevant. The seal count could be 10, it could be 50, it could be 1000, it is not the point.

The point is that a specific event was posted on the calendar.

Players planned for it.

The publisher decided to change that event two days before the event started, when they could have swapped out any later event instead, or even added the new event to the next empty weekend on the calendar.

What's the point of the calendar when it won't be adhered to?
