Neverwinter getting monotonous.

So, a friend told me he was tired of Neverwinter since it is only about killing stuff mindlessly, and i think he's kind of right. He played Runescape for like 10 years, and i'm not even joking.

It would be nice if Neverwinter had some other activities that you could do, maybe go to your Stronghold and help out at the Resource constructs e.g. by cutting wood, tending your farms, fishing, mining, etc. That way everyone, no matter the lvl, could contribute in a more meaningful way even if they aren't lvl 70, they could even rise the requirements of this kinds of materials, instead of the ridiculous amount of Campaign currencies they ask for every building. You could get rewarded with XP and materials, maybe have other ways to increase your Profession lvl, instead of waiting 18 hours for one extra guy, or an alternative to level up from 60 to 70, just with a good fishing mini game some of us could spend hours.

    Cool. I was going to make a similiar post but your title summed it up.

    So for me, I have all the boons, the gear I need and whatever. I think the biggest mistake was making the dungeons not drop anything special. Once you've gotten your seals, there's no real reason to do dungeons except rough ad. And i don't care about that/doesn't take much to get to 24k cap. Keep all that stuff, but there has to be some rng so that it has players believing there may be something worth while at the end.

    And then there's dailies. Or not. I have the boons. So what keeps me doing them? So that i can give to guild coffers? That are almost always maxed anyway? It used to not be a big deal. I could mindlessly grind dailies knowing that as long as i was killing bad guys i would be reward with rp. And then dragon hoard nerf. Now there is zero incentive for dailies.

    What does leave with professions maxed? Nothing really.

    Theres a secret you can farm the renegade evoker from valindra's tower. It is glitched and not dropping on xbox one, so you have unlimited time to "farm" something special lol

    Off topic but running dungeons with guild and friends. Sometimes pug t1 because they aren't so bad and randoms can usually make it through.

    Just so you know, in about a month the winter festival will start and run for three weeks. Ice fishing is one of the three events from previous years. So, if you want to mostly relax ( a few dead/undead fishermen may pop out of the hole and make you fight) and if it's anything like pc, 3 weeks of bad fawn puns. It will be the place for you. You can also fish when the event is not running that's the relaxing time, the event can get hectic. The slalom race is fun and then Monsters on ice for the combat fix.

    BRING BACK THE DUNGEONS AND SKIRMISHES PLEASE!

    Oh and also bring back different equipment sets with different set bonuses... the game has become stale due to those removals.

    Not sure I want that... I like being able to mix and match armor and not lose a set bonus.

    If you want a bonus, add an armor kit, or even better, Cryptic could expand the variety of them so you could create your own set bonus.

    I know! It makes little sense to take down all the dungeons except for 3 at the same time, why didn't they reworked them 1 by 1? Or why is it so important to get them all back at the same time?

    Eh? The problem is there is no mix and match anymore... that is what has been removed. We used to have 4 Armour sets with 2 piece and 4 piece bonuses plus another in the form of Draconic Armour.

    Now the top of the range armour is all the same and no set bonuses to have or chose. An armour kit is not a replacement for a 4 piece armour set bonus :(

    I think I heard that there will be new armour in new mod that has set bonuses again witin the "new" dungeons that were reworked- lets hope and see...

    I think its because their trying to make hardcore gaming a thing but a lot people that play these games are older players older players like simple content it really doesn't matter to me but that's why people are quitting and leaving. lets be honest here how many players did they lose when people could get 1shoted by everything(80% of players). people want to be able to just go kill things for fun like mod 5 a tank is nice but shouldn't be mandatory with a haste cleric /or healer now. no one wants to go in a dg just to raqequit it 1000x and idk about going into runescape entire thing I quit that game because I hated skilling to go to neverwinter.

    The other thing getting on my nerves, as I kind of mentioned above with the armours, is not just the lack of armour set bonuses now. Also though for instance all the top line HR armours are the same. None have Life-Steal in the stats at all, even the Blue Alliance Gear once upgraded to Elemental loses the Life-Steal.

    They is no variety at all in the Amours for the HR, not sure about other classes, just the same couple of stats with different numbers :(

    Even the new Marketplace Level 2 stuff in the stronghold and the Dragonflight gear all have no Life-Steal for instance.

    I was worried about the lack of Life Steal in armor initially until I've noticed that you can get quite a bit of Life Steal from Dark enchants, Black Ice overload enchants, boons, companion gear, companion features, etc. There is a point at which more Life Steal is not going to help much - regaining HP would be quick, but you can still die quickly if you are surrounded by multiple hard-hitting mobs.

    Also with the weapons, the Elemental fire set is the way to go, even with different enchants, enhancements and powers, you don't have the choice for any other weapons, the mulhorand lacks the feature to improve and doesn't have any special powers, while the Stronghold set is so far away for most people, since it doesn't depend much on what you do, but on your guild. They should have at least scaled the weapons that were introduced in mod 6 for level 60 (but you can only get at level 70).
