Dread Ring Boon not giving Ignore Resistance

I was at 47.2% Damage Resistance ignored, and I selected the boon in Dread Ring that gives 3% Ignore Resistance. After locking it in, I checked my character sheet and was still at 47.2%. I would have expected this to go to 50.2% because 47.2 + 3 (from boon) = 50.2%.
