Trouble with Forging a Silver Gauntlet quest.

Due to lag the npc wasn't interacting with me so I forge the gauntlet before speaking with him. Thought that is all I had to do and was off on my way. Anyway, after reviewing my quest journal I noticed I have a quest called forging a silver gauntlet. Only thing left to do is forge the gauntlet which I already have. I abandoned quest in hopes of receiving it again, but the npc that stands near the anvil, nor anyone else in the camp seem to want to give it to me. I then destroyed the gauntlet hoping that would trigger it. It did not. I am able to still make gauntlets, just can't get the quest. What rewards am I missing out on? Or is this a repeatable quest where a certain amount of time needs to pass to be given again? I'm thinking it isn't repeatable (the quest, I know u can make gauntlets without the quest since I just did so). Hope that all made sense. Thanks for any info.

It's just a bit of xp and silver nothing you really need to worry about.

nothing to worry about? its a huge quest creating error. simple solution is to block the player from creating the gauntlet before speaking with the guy that tells you to make it. i had same issue. i also did abandon the quest because campain said: already completed. cant complete again. the abandoned quest now keeps poping up in my journal as 3 dots like so: ...

If you have the quest but get the gauntlet first you can complete it the following day after reset. I've no idea how to deal with it if you've deleted the quest though as I've never done that.

General FYI - don't delete quests until you've exhausted every other option including waiting for the next day.

The exception being the Tyranny quests from the harper - if you're not going to be able to complete the quests before reset then you should delete them or they'll not work properly the next day.
