The Clicking Sound is Driving Me Mad

xx0dessaxxxx0dessaxx Member Posts: 44 Arc User
I don't want to turn off all interface sounds for one pointless sound, but it's getting to that point. I don't know why anyone would think a constant clicking is a good idea, but please add a way to turn off the clicking. I don't need a click to remind me to see the different events happening. I can't imagine anyone needing that. Sorry for sounding so frustrated, it's something I can't seem to tune out.

I got this weird noise, like when switching to one bag to another, but it keep happening all the time, when i fight and such, its sooo annoying, where does that come from??? Does it have to do that i did the new dashboard upgrade today? I swear its annoying to the point im thinking about muting the game... Didn't do that before... today i think? I did like ONE dungeon and i couldn't wait to finish it cause that noise was bugging me too much. Its the same exact noise as for switching bags in inventory but on a regular same pace all the time. Anybody can let me know whats this all about?

if you are in Dungeon you get a party with voice with other players even if you don't use you headset. The Problem is some users have their kinect as party device activated - so you hear them all the time. If dungeon is ove you stay connected and hear ll they say or the noise it makes. Even if you change the map you hear it.

You have to start a new Dungeon so the old "party" is disabled and a new one is here.

It's a bug. It's caused by the event announcement thing on the top right. Today it's being caused by the 2x Enchantment banner. If you highlight the banner and press "X" it stops for about 10 minutes if you're lucky.

It's probably the usual "lets roll stuff out without testing it" thing again...

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem. I thought I was hallucinating lol. It's annoying really. First I thought it was with my Ioun Stone augmenting me over and over again every 20 or so seconds, but then I realized the clicking noise was too frequent for that. Then I thought it was an error in the background music. Now at least I know what makes that annoying noise. Let's hope the devs will make it disappear.

I turned my UI Sound off under Options and the clicking is gone. It took a lot of other sounds with it, including some notification sounds, though :(
I too hope for a fix soon.

It's from the event thing, like the 2x enchants notification that's on your screen. It started with mod 6.

They made a post for a fix, saying you simply need to highlight the event and click x. Well, that only works for a short time before one of your interactions cancels it (opening the start menu, talking with npc, etc.) And it goes back to clicking away. Super annoying

YES, pressing X on highlighted event pauses the live feed announcement which is annoying as all he## to listen to.

But when you change instances/maps it starts up again. So you are safe as long as you don't do anything except stay in one area. Or you could do the more sensible thing and turn UI sounds off. Personally I can't tell a difference with them off, aside from no longer hearing that beeping.

You can't even open the menu without it starting up again.

For me, it hasn't done it since the update. It was even in the patch notes as one of the bug fixes. Strange that you still get it :(
