I noticed I was missing a dragon's hoard enchant. As I had recently been shuffling my enchants around, I suspected I might have accidentally contributed it to my guild coffer. Shortly thereafter, I gained enough professions resources to do elemental infusion on my dragonflight raid armlets. It dawned on me at that point that the elemental infusion might be responsible for the missing enchant. So I removed all the enchants from my armlets, and slotted a rank-4 dark enchantment before starting the elemental infusion task. The resulting Elemental Dragonflight Raid Armlets do not have an enchantment slotted.
As a resource consumed during a professions task, I understand this. But given the story line where the concept is 'enhancing a thing you have' (vs. 'destroy a thing you have and make a new one') it is surprising. So there are a few things that would be good to clarify for users:
1. Please give a confirmation dialog if the item to be 'infused' has a rank-8 or higher enchant, or an overload enchant
2. Please give a notice if 'reinforcement' (armor kit enhancement) is not preserved across 'infusion'
3. Please give some indication of whether transmutation/dyes will be preserved across infusion.
Steps to repro:
1. Acquire Dragonflight Raid Armlets (CW)
2. Slot any enchant into the Utility slot
3. Begin the elemental infusion task
4. Observe that the resulting Elemental Dragonflight Raid Armlets do not have an enchant slotted. Further observe that the enchant has not been returned to your inventory, and no warning or notice was given.
