Is there an achievement for like 10 consecutive fails? :/

    Some of the places in the game where you would expect an RNG to be used look suspiciously deterministic.
    E.g. when you run a daily quest in Sharandar enemies are supposed to be randomly dropping Feydark Crystals.
    And they do drop these - and quite generously (probably 30%-50% chance) - but not until you kill several of them (5-10). I believe this RNG is rigged. :smile:

    Went through the same while upgrading an enchantment with a 25% success rate (yes I know they're cheaper on the TH...lets tag this in the "things i now know thread")....after burning through my 10th preservation ward I was pissed, by 15 I was enraged, had I hit 20 I might have gone into full on hulk rage mode.

    Yeah sharp that happens pretty often. Run through ten on a 25% chance. I get it if it was just one upgrade, all things being equal. But several upgrades..

    Haha...so true. Ever try to refine/upgrade a rank 7 (25%) or rank 8 (20%) enchantment? It should statistically happen within 4-5 attempts....

    I'm glad you brought this up. 75% chance. I call BS on that. It feels like I've been burning through 3 and 4 kits on multiple skill nodes in a row. The 75% chance feels broken. It is different now compared to mod 5.

    Funny this got a mention; I said the same thing to some guild mates the other day; 75% fail rate is how it should read.

    You know that quest that introduces you to combining enchantment shards that you get from Neverember?

    Love and hate rng

    4 tries at making vorpal, ding got it
    5 upgrades @ 20% took 2 presward
    1 upgrade @ 25% took 18 preswards

    RNG is what it is

    300 companion fortification kits on main netted 60 coins

    Opened 10 on alt got 60 coins

    After extensive testing, I think NW's RNG works like this:
    Query: generate a number greater than 0 and less than 101
    Reply: banana
