There should to be an option to hold the button down to sprint. When I release the button the character should stop sprinting. Since a stable framerate seems out of the question, this would be a good start to helping players control their characters in those 2 fps situations that arise much too often.

What death said did technically answer this. I think maybe you are lost as to what you meant as well. Technically when you click Right Trigger you do sprint, and since you made no mention of a GWF's ability to basically super sprint the way you are betraying yourself is being rude to people. Next time include all the details if you have a question/issue/general concern so that you get the solution you desire.
Also: "I didn't mention GWF's ability to super sprint because GWF has no such ability. What the GWF does is a normal sprint." Once again you are confused, and clearly you don't know what you are talking about. Because Right Thumbstick is EVERY CHARACTERS NORMAL SPRINT. You may THINK it is a jog, but it is every characters normal sprint. And GWF do have the ability to basically "super" sprint by pushing Left Thumbstick. Its not called super sprint, but compared to every other characters "normal" sprint (right thumbstick down) it is like a super sprint.
Clearly you like to argue the semantics. And since you have no idea what you are talking about from your initial post, I can only assume that none of these facts are going to sink in. Just know that you are wrong because right thumbstick down is technically a sprint and therefore your initial issue/claim is invalid.
