I am trying to start the game but not getting past "Contacting controller Tracker"

Is there a server issue?

    There are tens of possible issue.
    Can you provide more info?

    - is this your first login?
    - if it is not the first login, did you had any change in your computer configuration since the last time you were able to log in?
    - can you reach the char select screen or are you stuck before that? if it is before, are you stuck on the cryptic page or on the NWN loading page?
    - Do you have patch on demand active?

    So, no reinstall, no upgrade of graphic card drivers etc?
    Check which directX is currently used

    Getting the same thing, "Attempting to connect to controller tracker.." with a Logging in, please wait... and constant spinner under that. Anyone know what is going on?

    It worked for me when I used the the direct nvw link. Dont use arc.

    We're aware of the issue and looking into it. For clarity, here's the symptoms I'm seeing:
    -If I open the launcher, say, five times, about one of them will fail to connect to Controller Tracker.
    -If it fails to connect, the user will be unable to log in on the patcher.
    -The user can always close the launcher and re-open again, it's likely to work fine.

    Hi is anyone having trouble loging in to the game i cant get past log in screen it says attempting to connect to controller tracker and its just spinning ...anyone else having this issue?

    well i uninstalled the game and tried to reinstall it and it connected so i dont know whats wrong with it today but its downloading now

    Similar boat to everyone here. I'm up to six tries with the login client, I don't typically use Arc for that, and no luck.

    Yes, a number of us have this issue. In another thread about this a dev has chimed in to say that they're looking into it.

    Same issue. Stuck on the Neverwinter Launch Screen - "Logging in, please wait" "Attempting to connect to controller tracker"
    No changes have been made to this computer. It worked fine yesterday.

    my main is having the same isue (account 1 year young) but my alt is able to login with no isues..
    i guess Boo is naging the server cables again.

    I'm being affected by this issue too, EU (UK) login. "Attempting to connect to controller tracker" once username and password are entered, won't even go into the patcher. No updates, no reinstalls, no changes to internet connection since this started and I've been playing every day for nearly two months without issue. Restarted the launcher nearly a dozen times now and stuck on the same message every time.

    Same - logged in and ran CTAs successfully, stepped away for a cup of coffee and had been automatically logged out (15 min).
    Now get the Attempting to connect to controller .......
    Restarting does not help
