Things I would spend money on (Class Change)

anesadinganesading Member Posts: 83 Arc User
Things they can make available only with purchase of zen through arc like Class Change or unbind item/companion/artifact etc.

I want to try all classes in endgame but don't have the time and get bored of a class really fast so I thought of this suggestion.

I would spend money on these things. I have companions that i miss useing but they are bound to toons that i no longer play. Same goes with mounts. I have some nice artifacts now as well that would be nice to be able to move them. But mostly it would be nice to be able to move companions and mounts by unbinding them. Great idea :)

They'll never allow an full unbind for items, it's pretty necessary for things to be bound. But... perhaps something that converts one item to Unbound for Account - which allows you to move it to any other character on your account and then, when it's bound again, it goes back to being Character bound.

I don't think the game engine itself would really support class-change very well. But, really, I don't think it would be that game breaking. It would have to be a very expensive token, since you're talking about a complete respec + a race reroll (if you plan to reset your stats, which you'd probably need to do anyway). Then, all your gear becomes unusable.

I guess if they made it, say, 10000 zen, it would be a massive expense to change class.. $100USD per pop. Totally not worth it, but if it makes Cryptic money and allows them to do actual game development work again, as opposed to whatever it is they call what they've been doing since module 3... I suppose it's worth supporting.

i would be ok with firefall solution - you level each class differently on same character, by switching in town, but you keep your items

Class switching could be interesting, assuming you'd have to level each class separately, but there's no way you'd be able to use the same weapons. Allowing you to use non-class armor might be too unbalancing, though. Obviously, any non-class skill would have to become disabled while you are set to the other class...

there class changes with battleframe - smth that counts as armor set, and each class has its own weapons, so you would change armor set and would have to equip different weapon/oh, but smth like pets/mount/artifacts, maybe accessories would stay(ofc there might be some issues with lvl requirement but nothing that cant be solved)

This is an RPG, you don't change your class (or your race, but heck...). It's what you are. <-- D&D view.

no, definitely no class change but a way to progress on more than one toon while playing one toon? yes its required. I wont be playing any new class regardless how much interesting they can be.
keeping a tr and hr is already tiresome

Eh. If it's going to cost $100 it better at least change your mainhand+offhand to the correct class. I don't really see why it shouldn't change all of your armor to the correct class even.

Not sure why anyone would really be against this. Seems more like a case of people being mad that they started an alt and don't want anyone having an easier option.
