Now that I'm setup for pvp I'm doing much better. Going positive every game and winning almost every 1v1 battle. Thanks for any advice I got from this thread. It may be locked now pls.

You really have to play the "opportunist Killer" role this mod more than ever with the effectiveness of tenacity against our initial attacks with defensively stacked players at times in Domination, depending on how much piercing damage you dish out. Engage enemies from behind or the side while stealthed, procing combat advantage. Take node 1 (not at the very beginning) then move to the overpass in the middle and jump down behind someone fighting on node 2 and catch them with a Lash, smoke bomb, DF (or SF), then finish off with Shocking Execution if need be. If they're below 20% your AP will automatically refill for a second use. Or bypass 2 entirely if the enemy team is there in full strength and sneak out to node 3. ITC and Oghma's token slotted to help against CW's and Trappers. You can run a Gloaming cut setup if you wanted with Shadow strike or dazing strike. MI: EX/Sabo, or WK: Sab/SC. It depends on your play style really. You can ask three differen't TR's what their setup is and all three could be different yet all three are successful. More often than not people tend to run a Sabo build in PVP. If you're running a straight executioner build then make sure you're attacking one enemy at a time until dead or until you can break away and reenter stealth and combat to make most of your Feats this mod. Just note that you will be out of stealth alot. I also use COS for runners. Things that never move from my rotations are Shocking Execution, Lurker's Assault, ITC, Oghma's, and Skillful Infiltrator. I'm a big fan of the MI path. Sigil of the Devoted would be more useful in PVE vs PVP because of having to deal with 1V1 controlling. I don't actually have devoted but that's my theory on the matter. Build as much stamina up as possible for dodging and work toward getting your full Lost set if you haven't already. Double hitting on crit with a quick striking TR is simply great.

Sorry if this came across as being rushed but I'm in a hurry. There a few really strong TR's here that could also give you some great tips.

Btw I never ran with much tenacity either but being that you're weak in PVP I would run as much as possible. Even I'm starting to stack more tenacity now after conducting some more control testing in IWD.

As a TR you should be going to node 2 initially, if the whole enemy team ends up there with you then you might want to opt out and stealth past and make a run for 3. They should have no more than one guy there anyway and they're usually killed pretty quick. More often than not the weaker players go for node 1 at match start.

my tr mainly use for taking enemy node 3 and try to get the opponent HAMSTER off at me by running around node 3 to stun and daze them. my best match is against a HR where the opponent can't stun lock me with his roots, it was 4 vs 5 and even tho we lose, in the end he send me a private tell and insullt me that i'm a trash tr which to me is a compliment as he have been trying to kill me the whole match chasing after me n can't even get his kill =)

I almost have my grim set complete but I have changed one or 2 things since yesterday that have helped immensely. First, elven battle enchantment. Most of my deaths are due to crowd control. I run impossible to catch specifically to break out and run away if needed. The enchantment works wonders though. I noticed an immediate difference in how resistant to cc I was. Since then I have gone positive almost every game and my wl ratio has also improved. I've been focusing on capping the node closest to the other team. If they rush as a team I go invis and run away. When they leave I go back. Serves as a great distraction. I just miss the days when the rogue could actually kill things with ease. The hunter is the new rogue for pvp. Lots of damage and excels in 1v1 fights. Honestly that's my goal. To be able to dish out enough damage while also being able to resist cc well enough to kill 1v1. The opportunistic killer always bugs me a bit but maybe that's just the rogue this mod. Hopefully with the hunter nerf in mod 7 the rogue will regain some of its glory.

    My setup typically is:
    Master infiltrator/executioner

    Daily - bloodbath
At wills - cloud of steel/duelists flurry
    Encounters - dazing strike/shadow strike/impossible to catch.
    Passives - tenacious concealment/infiltrators action

Don't quote me on the second passive. There's 2 with similar names. Can't remember which it is but it's the one that makes you move faster, deflect more, and crit more. Honestly if I statted for pvp I would probably do a lot better but I'm also an avid pve player. Pvp has just been a hobby lately because I want to learn it just to say I'm good at it. As of now I believe I'm at about a 1.4 kd or so and I pug pretty much exclusively due to not having a pvp guild.

if you are lv 65 and above, there's 1 passive that you should put it on ur tray which is piercing damage and ignore armor. i use that skill in the passive tray and makes so much easier to get crit damage especially if you went executioner feats and especially against tanks once they r stun lock
