Problem with VIP invocation and Mechanical Altars

I've invoked a bunch of characters on mechanical altars so far this Gond event, and I have VIP rank 12. One of the perks of VIP is that you can invoke anywhere, not sure which rank you get that at. Anyway.
I've noticed it's inconsistent when I invoke standing on a mechanical altar, whether I get the rewards from the altar or the regular ones. It seems to work if I wait a few seconds first, but even then sometimes it seems not to register that I'm standing on an altar.
So I guess this is a warning to people who have VIP who want to invoke on Mechanical Altars, and also a note to the devs or anyone who might be able to look into it and fix it.
