Best Artifacts for Guardian Fighter (stacking defense/hp/deflect?

There are literally too many artifacts in the game for me to look through them all so I figured I would make a post and hear people's opinions/suggestions.

What are some of the best or the best artifacts for Guardian Fighters? I am stacking mainly all defense/hp/deflect and in party I mainly focus on Into the Fray and Knight's Valor to help the party.

I really like the Paladin artifact - it gives HP and power, and provides an effect that grants more damage resistance and heals you. The area is a decent size, so your teammates can also benefit.

I'm conqueror so I'm stuck with some specific HAMSTER like crit and armor pen.

But, if you want any artifact, get a wheel of elements. Seriously, stamina/guard regen is good to stack up. Nice for solo too.

Those Pallys always get the shaft, don't they? Cryptic should be nicer to 'em. The GF artifact wasn't worth doing the quest over.

Tiamat Orb of Majesty, drop it like a flash grenade in a room full of bad guys.
Stuns and lowers damage, last I checked it was pretty cheap.

I'm more looking towards the stat bonus they give rather than the spell/affect they do. But thanks for the replies so far.

Yeah, even their artifacts are OP. I like GF artifact though, if you're tanking boss, low on guard, and are fresh out of AP it really buys you some time.

Well my conq has sigils: GF, GWF, SW and wheel. Wheel is really useful, not only for owner but also for party.

Well that's why you get artifacts with stamina regen in the first place. The IWD boon, the 3rd row protector feats, the off-hand bonus for shield talent.

I use Wheel artifact, DC artifact, GF artifact and Water. DC arti is usually always slotted to generate AP.

Remember that every Artifact [including weapons. belts, cloaks etc] slowly increases its bonuses at EVERY level of upgrading so its worth upgrading all the Artifacts you have for as many levels as you can manage to upgrade it :)

I'm a Lvl 70 GF & have SoG & Shop at Purple & TR's Sigil in Blue now [ from wife's alt char ] - I'd sold the other Artifact I had before the new slot became active :)

Any edge is a bonus :)

Currently my tactician GF is using: sigil of the guardian (purple), lantern or revelation (purple), eye of lathander (purple) and sigil of the oathbound (purple). And my conqueror is using the same except using red dragon artifact instead of the eye of lathander.

For the three stats you suggested, the sigil artifacts would be: Guardian Fighter, Devoted Cleric, Oathbound Paladin, and Scourge Warlock. If Stamina/Guard Gain is very important to you, have both Scourge and Ranger as opposed to the Cleric Sigil. These would make you an effective wall for players to get behind. Other options that are not sigils could be, but are not limited to: Defender's Banner, Lathander (if set), Lostmauth (for offensive bonuses, if set), Seldarine (if set). Armor Enchant should be Negation or Elven Battle, if you can afford them. Weapon Enchant could be any of your choice, though currently Feytouched, Plague Fire, or Terror seem to be the most desired.

You need to stack defense(damage resist) for ITF.For stats I use Sigil of Guardian,Heart of White Dragon(a bit pricy) and Oghma's Token.Waters is the lifesaver artifact for me since people started to run dungeons without heal or you cant be always sure you can get DC for PVP matches.Paladin seal seemed nice but giving 2m for heart seemed faster and easy option in the old days

I stacked defense to the max on my HR, and I used:
    - Token of Chromatic Storm (also because of the nuke effect -- it's the panic button)
    - Heart of the White Dragon
    - Emblem of the Seldarine
    - Eye of Lathander

Then get yourself a chicken (if possible), put three bonding runestones on it, and equip it with "Loyal Defender" gear. Then start loading up on Azure or Brutal enchantments. Also get either a Seldarine or Lathander cloak for the AC bonus.

There are three companions that give defense. Get them all and push them to purple. Then get the +200 defense reinforcements, the best armor you can, etc. etc.

    With everything up to R12:
    Defense: 20.3k
    DR: 59.4%

On your GF it should wind up being vastly higher.

On my protector deflect spec GF I use Wheel of elements(teal),GF sigil(teal),Fire symbol(purple),Oghma's token of free movement(teal).

my best advice is to go for ones with 3 useful stats. and GFs can make use of many. I would try to aim for lifesteal, deflect, hp, defense, armor pen, crit. you can balance your stats with enchants, but I'd say lifesteal, deflect and hp are the harder ones to squeeze out.

That and the movement boost if you get hit hard.
