Change how mob CC works in PvE

This game is overloaded with CC, what makes it especially annoying is that it works even if the hit deals close to no damage to you when fighting a group of weak trash mobs.

I think NPC CC should be reworked so that hits that deal low damage to you shouldnt CC, the threshold could be smth like 5% of max hp(kind of like Fortitude save). It makes sense that strong opponents, like dragons, hits would cc you, but it makes no sense whatsoever that some random trash in low level solo map could cc your BiS character that eats deep fried Tiamats wings for breakfast.

When fighting your level(difficulty level not exp level) enemies cc makes fight more interesting - encouraging active gameplay instead of facetanking, but when grinding some low difficulty mobs for a daily or smth, who couldnt kill you even if there were 10 000 of them it is simply annoying. Especially so for tanks and clerics - they are more tanky, but deal extremely low damage so while dps class can kill trash in few hits and be done with it, the support classes have to endure the annoyance for much longer, making questing really frustrating.

This would also add to the feel of character progression making you feel more powerful when monsters that could cc you now cant do much against you, and make daily grind less of an annoyance(THE reason why i hate doing daily quests with a passion), while not reducing difficulty for harder content since the hits would be over the threshold

Another issue is chain cc - when there are more mobs(or falling rocks @ Lostmauth) that just keep ccing your character for ages, there should be diminishing returns on cc

    I've found that chain CC, as your example from eLoL, is more due to lag then actual AI intentionally chain CCing the player. Not to say if you eff up it won't happen, but honestly it's more of an issue with lag IMO.

    As long as you only reduce monster CC then okay, but I don't want you touchin' my CW and his Icy Terrain spam :P

    eLoL is a particularly bad implementation, as the red splotches often don't sync with the animations, and the fireballs that knock you back will often not display at all. There's also an issue where, during the fight with Syndreth at the end of eToS, she'll have so many effects on her, that you can't see her "tell" when she's about to do her mace swing, which can knock everyone back.

    As for other CCs, I can't really agree - NW tends to be pretty tame with regards to trash mobs use of CC - it just sucks if you are playing a class that either can't get out of the way or doesn't have a power ready to counter it...

    I've found that chain CC, as your example from eLoL, is more due to lag then actual AI intentionally chain CCing the player. Not to say if you eff up it won't happen, but honestly it's more of an issue with lag IMO.

    it happens from time to time when you get hit by a fireball into 2 or 3 falling rocks in a row and back into a fireball

    what games are you playing then, i havent seen any game with even half as much cc on low difficulty mobs, if we werent forced to do trash difficulty content, like daily quests, it would be fine, but in content where you could die only if you went afk for 2 days and somehow didnt get kicked after 15 min, its just plain stupid. Its just to make grind a bit better for classes that cant perma cc and blow stuff up like cw, or have cc immunity like gwf, blocking attack that does 0 damage to gf or pala just because of cc seems stupid, if attack doesnt deal damage it shouldnt be able to cc - just like when 2yo baby hits you, you wont fall down

    ofc its only for PvE and would only affect NPC
