How do you want Neverwinter to end?

Just left Protectors Enclave, the place was a ghost town. I don't think Neverwinter will recover from the most recent changes (I don't think they will let me use the word debacle) but I was wondering how you would like the game to end?

Personally I would like to see one last video.

"Valindra reforms and raises herself from the ground/crypt, leads an army on Neverwinter. The outer walls are breached and the undead come pooring through multiple gaps, Neverwinters defenders fall one by one only to rise again in a hideous mockery of life and join the attacking throng, just as the horde reaches Lord Neverember's throne room an earthquake hits, followed by a tornado. The undead army is ripped apart by the carnage, Finally a Blast of fire from the Sky, Dragon fire reduces the remnants of the horde to ash, Just as we think Hope has been restored a red dragon head appears over the throne room, flanked quickly by white, green, blue and black dragon heads, the necks flow down to just one body Tiamat has escaped the abyss..."

Opinions, edits and rewrites welcomed. Or you could just write your own story you lazy HAMSTER

The once mighty Neverwinter is destroyed because of



lack of leadership.

Of course they will recover. To a point. However, decisions like this steadily erode the player's trust in the game and it's makers, leading to a steady erosion of real money spending and to a lesser extent, erosion of players.

The game isn't all that it can be due to decisions like this.

A group joins to fight Tiamat but everyone in the instance just goes AFK. The clerics fall one by one and Tiamat surges. Seeing that all is lost, Elminster asks Mystra to grant him the power to revert time and avoid Tiamat from entering this world. But since the corward PUG group just stayed in firecamp and killed no monster/demons Elminster is overrun by monster while casting his spell and fails. Tiamat enters this world and all is destroyed.

Doesn't matter how we want it to end. it apparently has since Tuesday morning. The titanic has hit the iceberg, now it will be a few hours (weeks/months) for it to sink slowly and deliberately. Fortunately the management can still plug the hole on this one. I hope they don;t wait too long on that, though.

It looks like the end of the rope I'm dangling on is Mod 8. And only because all my toons are already at 70 and most are already decently geared. Just trying to top-off my new main. But have to say: holding on with only my fingers is really hard to do at this point.

What i noticed is a sharp decline on people in game.. i also had a friend on my list who called it quits, Ive known him for almost two years now.

Its really depressing.

Oh , my that vision in some levels is Epic as I am pretty dark person but... well it IS depressing.

I admit sudden BIG drop in activity. I log in to game every few hours since today is my free day and.... well saying that zones have "much space to fit in" is most positive I can say. (in open beta it was more crowded in here)

As thing stand it'll be hard to pug ever anything...

Not mention that I have this ominous feeling that percentage of bots raised significantly. And they're just ranting their promotion like some evil Mage's puppets, marionettes with their soulless, motionless appearance...

Anyone haves contact with Tomasz Bagiński!? He would make it legendary for sure!

I was hoping it made it to it's third birthday, the planned engine upgrade went in, a ton of new players joined and a massive new campaign was started. Of course none of this will happen now. So it ends not with a bang, not a whimper but complete silence from the dev team as players one by one log out for the last time and say goodbye to the world we have played in for the last 2+ years.

I just started back playing. What happened to make people leave? I see a lot of people in protector's enclave. Way more players than several of the games I've come from. Que times are WAY quicker too.

If you 'just came back' to what You compare?

Also: queues already yesterday became 5-6 times longer wait actually. And pugs are flooded with bots (good chance to get 2-3 of em). And I doubt anyone sees Enclave populated ... actually I've seen it more populated once game was not even released. Soo.. yeh. (it was bit more people in game yesterday)

EDIT: But it's and off-topic actually. We're supposed to talk about Forgotten Realms idea of Ragnarok occurring in NWO. Not petty depopulation issues

Most people are lamenting and licking wounds right now because of all the recent AD changes. I tend to take everything I read on the forums with a pinch of salt.

Actually I even cannot login into the game.
So my vision of Ragnarok in this game is a big black cloud spreading over Protectors Enclave. When it'll fill the monitor you'll see a phrase blinking:
Loading, please wait ......

quite sad, i have awesome guild, the only thing still keeping me here, but i find it really hard to log on - do some professions, run a few daily quests from sharandar i hated back when they introduced it, but i need them for keep, maybe run a dungeon that doesnt drop anything of value and is a simple and boring tank and spank, at least with bugged monster arp there was some challenge. could farm tokens for the new set, but its a long and boring grind.

at this point im just too tired of the bs

I compare from the many online games I've played since leaving Neverwinter.

I was in a group with one player who I thought was a bot earlier. Not sure tho.

I dont want it to end, but if i had to choose i would prefer it like city of heroes did it. With a big amount of people saying goodbye and taking screenshots and videos and people remembering it for years to come.
