Soulforge or negation now needed for dungeons, PVE and PVP ? Discuss.......

So I have been looking at the game now and been pondering the needs of me and hopefully groups in dungeons/PVE/PVP

So it seems to me if your soloing (dread ring and sharandar) you can or could use soulforge as a little back up incase you mess up, but would it be better to go all out for a negation instead?

In PVP soulforge just seems a waste because with a lesser once you die to come back with just 5k (roughly) hitpoints is just one more hit and your dead so giving away another kill.

So what are other people views on it, or have they tested with negation in and what have they found. Also on a side note does anyone use combat superiority and noticed it is not procing on mobs/players (ie the fist not showing up)?

I have a 2400+ item score atm and while I can do both sharandar and dread ring without any trouble icewind dale and dungeons just seem so so much harder and it seems defence is something we all need to bolster up on that it seems as its been nerfed across the board.

Haven't used Combat Superiority in a while, but will check up on it. Just made my first Negation enchant, will check back in after I've used it for a while. So far I think its a much better choice than SF for us.

Soulforge with the combination of the Lathander set bonus is your ticket to happiness. Proc healing to near if not full health on soulforge + team heal and no more injuries Good for PVE. I hear Negations the way to go for PvP though.

Zman, does the greater lathanders belt at epic/legendary quality change the stats it gives kind of like the tiamat necklace does? I do not like wisdom/charisma! Because it has poor stats for a guardian fighter but the set bonus may just outweigh that drastically!

My GF is my 2nd toon or alt if you prefer, however it didn't take me long to realize Negation is better off in my Pvp gear for now.

I have been looking at negation as well in my burning piece. expensive currently for the lesser.

I have my own way of doing things that uses neither, I just tanked a HR attempting to kill me with the typical broken as **** perma-stun set and watched as he dropped dead without having to do anything.

During dungeons I'm usually middle on Paingiver without a huge number of attacks.

How?

SoS + Guarded Assault + Blacksmith + Briarthorn.

It's an old classic that few people know how to use anymore but it works.
