I want to start a somewhat serious discussion on the future of Neverwinter, with the aim of making this game better.
I use the hypothesis that the playerbase is unhappy and leaving. A not exhaustive list with a few hot topics found in the forums
- Strongholds being unfriendly to small guilds (the ever hungry mimic)
- Foundry Editor not working for weeks (foundry writer cut off)
- Dungeons missing for month (rest in peace Karrundax)
- No AD for Leadership in the near future (announced changes)
Now you are Jack Emmert, CEO of a company that is offering an online game called “Neverwinter”, and it is your job to entice new players to join the game while at the same time keeping the existing playerbase happy.
What would you do?

AH/Barter economy is all relative, it will survive. Purchasing things like companion upgrades, GMOPs, strongholds, etc. is prohibitive.
