quest issues

Has anyone else had an issue with getting the third quest in common cause? the quest will show in the quest tracker, there will be a way-path to the quest guiver, but no quest. without the quest, common cause cannot be copleted.

I have confirmed this for ancient treasure in the wispering caverns and forge fire(?) in roth valley

    You need to speak with the relevant NPC. Despite there being no Exclamation Mark to denote a lair quest available, they do indeed have one for you.

    Sometimes, if you get the quests, but don't complete all of them in the same day, when the next day comes around, it'll cause the quest chain to bug, and you won't be able to complete it.

    lirithiel is correct, you need to read the Common Cause quest and talk to the npc associated with that zone to pick up the lair quest.

    Neverdeath Graveyard -- "Ghost Stories" -- talk again to Harper Boward
    Ebon Downs -- "Barrow Demolition" -- talk to Preceptor Theraclast
    Icespire Peak -- "A Miner Problem" -- talk to Fitzhugh Montgomery
    Rothe Valley -- "Forged in Fire" -- talk to Delrin Bass
    Whispering Caverns -- "Ancient Treasures" -- talk to Shay Cutter

    Edit: In case this was unclear, all of these npcs are standing in PE near Harper Boward.

    If you out level the quest, the diamond will not show up. Take to the mentioned people above even if you may not see the diamond of top of their head.
