Mod 6 - stat balancing (especially ArP value and Wis belt)

XB1 player DC here, trying to get a bead on stat balancing to figure out my gameplan come mod 6 release next month. Really hoping I can get some tips from you experienced mod 6ers.

Primarily what I am trying to understand are minimum ArP to get through pve / pvp content. Is there a minimum ArP value? I've seen build with ArP values no higher than 3 digits which seems like too gimped.

Also, is the Wis belt still the way to go to maximize the wis ability at the loss of higher stats?

I keep hearing that %s give you more bang for the buck, and that a loss of a 1-2k in stats is negligible though a 1-2% increase is considered substantial. Just trying to figure out my gameplan on the belt. The sets for other belts is complete HAMSTER, but I understand I may have to go greater belt to keep up with current content. My current Wis belt is almost orange.

Really appreciate any insight / discussion. I am shocked at the lack of math calc info on stats for mod 6 available, much less specific to DCs.

Edit: adjusted AP acronym no ArP; sorry for confusion

When you say AP that should mean action point gain, but they way you talk about the three digits I think you are talking about Armour Penetration. If it is armour penetration, then I agree that its underrated, and others will probably also say not to focus on it. Before mod 6 the cap on armour penetration was 27% or so, in mod 6 there are enemies that have damage resistance up to 70% or so, if you plan to play a purely support cleric and are comfortable with doing pea shooter damage then you should not worry, if you want a more hybrid solo/dps/support play style, then you should really have armour penetration. The mod 6 armour sets will provide you with lots of ArPen if you want it.

As for the wisdom belt, in mod 6 they introduced new items that when you have the set of 3 you get an extra bonus. Most of these sets have useless bonuses, the one that may seem to prefer is the Lostmauth set, it provides almost too much damage but they have not nerfed it yet, so perhaps that is the one to have for every class. The damage is provides compared to the extra damage and healing a max wisdom belt gives means that the wisdom belt is the wrong choice. I would not invest any refinement in your artifact weapons or wisdom belt, do it on enchantments because they are still useful in mod 6.

As for no stats guides in mod 6, to be blunt, mod 6 was a disaster and many players left. Among those I assume who left was Kaelac who created that useful cleric guide, its no longer being updated and I think that he was one of the many that left because of mod 6. I don't think DC are a popular class in mod 6, and you might also possibly rage quit, so I would advise not to do too much till it comes around. If you have not gotten all 80 tiamat luna tokens then do it now, because in mod 6 it became much worse to do it, also if you haven't got the full High Prophet set then get it, it will still be very useful for certain situations and it will no longer drop in mod 6.

Virtuous DC (pref AC) + OP Protection is "popular"... other feats & paragons (btw and GF class) - no.
Dont spend AD on gear now, max your AD and RAD.
Any new 70 lvl belts: Wisdom or Lathander (or Tiamat Sash in mod7)

Lord Foul has a nice spreadsheet on calculating power/crit and hp/defense/deflect. You may want to check it out.

WMost of these sets have useless bonuses, the one that may seem to prefer is the Lostmauth set

Lostmauth is awesome!!! That set I imagine the devs vision for dcs was the imperial but honestly its pretty meh
I assume who left was Kaelac who created that useful cleric guide, its no longer being updated and I think that he was one of the many that left because of mod 6

Kaelic left before Mod 6. He got busy with school in early Mod 5.

Tweaked AP acronym to ArP...sorry about that

Re: ArP, it sounds like not to worry about it and focus on power, crit, recovery. That seems soooo counter intuitive though, even with a linear stat "curve".

I think I'm seeing differences in opinion on the Wis belt. Definitely not worth keeping? I kee reading the set bonuses really aren't that great

PutzBoy78: can you post link when you get a sec?

Thanx all for the replies. Really appreciate the insight and experince!
