Hi,
I'm currently playing on the Xbox One version and we have Mod 6 dropping next month.
My main is a SW, and looking for any advise you guys can give as any guides for SW post Mod 6 are near nil.
Can you tell me what's in and out with the SW now, and potentially what gear to aim for since my Accursed Diabolist is be a pile of dung after the patch.
And also what builds are good, and what really takes a hit.
Currently run as a SB Furylock.
Thanks for any advice.

Think of all the things you could possibly imagine you didn't want to see in the game - this is Module 6.
Your in progress questing in ToD, IWD, Dread Ring, Shar - all will come to a grinding halt. They will all be raised 10 levels - only the mobs will be raised higher than that - and you will be killed the first time you get near them.
Your game will be replaced by revisiting re-skinned areas that you have already played at lower levels. But now with new names and new mobs. You will then take part in one of the most boring and repetitive questing patterns in modern mmo's. I will not say anymore in regard to this, I'll wait for you to experience this quest progress first hand.
As for the SW - well forget Temptation - completely. It is wrecked. The only spec worth looking at is Damnation owing largely to a Soul Puppet bug. Even so, the class is about the least welcome in any group. The SW needs completely reworking for Mod 6 that is all.
Oh and by the way, all your gear is immediately redundant.
Apart from that you'll be fine.
"Mod 6. Oh my f****** god. It gutted the game pure and simple. And what wasn't gutted was messed up by the poorly thought out new level cap and equip. The game never recovered from that atrocity".
..............not this one then.............
I was able to make progress in Sharandar through what we back in City of Heroes used to call "scrapperlock". Dread Ring has been a total loss; couldn't clear a single spawn. I knew from my experiences leveling my main, an HR, that it would be sheer folly to even try Icewind Dale or Well of Dragons before 70 and frankly I don't expect to do much better afterwards.
The mod6 zones were tolerable, though I did completely skip Fiery Pit as I was 67 out of Redemption Rock. Spinward has been iffy at best. I had to hit the AH and buy blue gear for most of her slots to drag up her Lifesteal (to a whopping 15%, not counting Hope Stealer). As of now she is three quests into the final area. I had to drop the one she had for the instance as she could not even clear the first room (two giants).
I agree that the class needs a major rethink. The change to Lifesteal is crippling as is the class' near-total lack of controls. Mine will likely be consigned back to the Pit of Despair (i.e. professions/invokes only) after hitting 70.
But on the bright side, Harrowstorm should work with the Strongholds patch again... although i think there was something about a damage nerf to it too.
you gave absolutely no advice here. maybe instead of just complaining, you could add some insight gained through experience which may help this player adapt the the admittedly crappy changes coming his way.
Spec soulbinder, get your crit up, drill with harrow and dreadtheft (in that order) to get your sparks up early in the fight (lots of little hits, many chances to crit) and slot barrowed time. Plan your fight progression and stay aware of your surroundings so that you can stay mobile but not grab adds.
Just before you finish off the last enemy start your next encounter so that your sparks are maxed out going into it. Use buffs.
The best thing possible to do, of course, is to team up with another player. But barring that, you CAN solo most content, but you'll need to keep your gear up and ideally be at or above the content level. You will still likely die quite a bit so have a lot of heal kits handy.
If you can make it work without going damnation try to do so. The simple reason for this is that you will drive tanks nuts in group content with your ghost pulling agro and pets can sometimes get glitchy in dungeons. Likewise use a striker/controller or ideally augment pet in groups.
...yes... it's a hardknock life for warlocks..
