Weapon enchants for the poor

sithernxsithernx Member Posts: 10 Arc User
I've read many times that Vorpal is the best weapon enchantment for the TR, but I'm far from a BIS player and am wondering what would be the best weapon enchantment at "lesser" level for the TR? Or would it be better to just wait until one could attain "pure" or better?

For my build... I have yet to decide. I have a Lesser Vorpal. I have been thinking the the Lightning... or Thunder. For specific reasons

Build it up slowly... us grinders may never touch a Pure or Trans Enchant.

Those are not cheap. I still have a Lesser Vorp but will be handing that to my CW and making a Lightning enchant for my TR.

Having a perfect weapon enchantment is the biggest hurdle in the game. Getting to pure or trancedent is relatively easy because you no longer need a duplicate enchantment to upgrade.

You can always get by with a Lesser Soulforged armor enchantment.

    Hear, hear.

Currently, getting an artifact to legendary and above is the easiest, and yet this itself takes considerable investment.
...then the next difficult is getting artifact equipment upto legendary
...then getting your normal enchants to rank12
...and the absolute worst... weapon/armour enchantments and their #*()!(!!@#^ "1%" chance everytime.

Even if duplicates are required it would not be that miserable if the upgrade chance was reasonable. But 1% per every stage???? It simply means they want your 1,000 ZEN (or 500k AD) worth of money EVERYTIME. They won't even take the 300 ZEN Preservation wards. They want 1,000 ZEN/500k AD. End of story.

I think terror weapon enchantment might be a good option, since you can get the shards out of the first sharandar mini dungeon quest.
I've also noticed that the 11 days of praying enchantment box yields a slightly better chance to get a blue ward, since the box has 1 less item to choose from (4 vs the artifacts at 5). Unless there is some hidden drop chance that doesn't make it equal.
For armor enchantment I'd say investing in a soulforged would help, since it does the most out of all enchantments at the lesser stage (1-UP).

    This. ^
Terror is one of the easiest to farm shards and one of the least expensive on AH.
    But it works well.
The damage bonus is decent. Lacks the DoT of Plaguefire, but it gets the job done.
    The debuff is effective.
It is arguably the most cost-efficient and effective "economy" enchant.

I throw a lesser terror on any toon I can't afford to bling bling.
    Cheap and no regrets.

You know enchants can be shared across characters and even accounts...that said I would plaguefire is the best economy enchant. Good debuff, decent damage bonus, and extremely cheap. I got a perfect after only a couple weeks of farming for ad too.
