Understanding companions - help

so I use an ion stone of allur as my main pet. My thought has been that the only companion that matters, is the the one I have summoned...is this correct? If not, do I need to have the other ones equipped? Bonding runestones?

Since I already get 100% of the stats on the pet (and its equipment) do eldritch runestone or bonding runestones add any value?

Any info you can provide is greatly appreciated!

    Each pet has the powers/effects that they provide while actually summoned, but each of the 5 pets in your active slots also provides some other bonus - could be some more stat points, some additional effect when certain criteria are met, (like a chance to poison targets).
