Otherwise it'll glitch and you'll ruin the run for everyone.

    I don't know if this has been confirmed or not. I can personally say that I've seen people start attacking heads before they have fully emerged, usually Black, and I haven't had it glitch in my instances. Mind you that is a very small sample size, but has this been confirmed as an issue?

    Not arguing, honest question. Only because a few seconds of hesitation can literally make the difference.

    Most people wait until the black head is level with the platform before attacking. If you attack it while its still right down the bottom then it can glitch out and never fully emerge.

    It won't be 100% of the time, but it's also not worth the risk.
