Tiamat Experience so far...

First at all, I love the tiamat raid.

25 players try to kill the dragon lady in her dungeon and its pure fun. Now comes the BIG BUT...

Why is it allowed to go into the temple with a gearscore of 10.000 (10k)? That doesn't make sense.
DPS is to low with more than 5-7 10k chars. I would raise the entry GS to 12.5k or 13k.

This is just a hint, maybe you think about it.

So the Gear Score debate has taken over the VTK issue. Can we start merging all the Tiamat dicussions into one thread like we did the VTK? Seems everyone wants to chime in on the GS needs of this fight so lets keep all these in one place to clean up the forums please. Already multiples in other places

I'm 12.1 K and frequently top 5 and even first place a couple of times with my CW spellstorm renegade with HV set. I do massive control and damage and I know my build and class very well. My teams win. You really don't want to keep me out of Tiamat, I promise.

honestly my experience currently sucks and its not even the low gear score players causeing it im 20k gs myself id say 90% of players in every instance no matter how high gs or low they don't grab the gems to use them which is reason why players are failing sadly just little basic things matter. I have 30 favors just got first boon but honestly don't think ima put myself through 100 more torture runs just going to buy the 5400 coffers for it makes me want to cry irl so hard how some people play with little understanding.

I'm probably going to take a break from this game for like 2 weeks, because tiamat is too stressful atm lol. knowing arc games they won't release the next mod until like october anyway.

mod 5-6 release took 4-6months I was hopeing it was going to be faster :c

I wouldn't mind waiting another 2-3 months for the next mod, but they killed the market with tiamat so there is nothing worth running anymore. all my friends seem to be getting bored of tiamat already as well

although it is probably is prime time to start farming refinement..

You are like one out of a thousand, the majority of people don't know how to play their character and probably have them specced wrong on top out that. Imagine if you just got a couple enchantments and raised your stats further, you could help carry all the other low gear players that don't have your ability.

I played enough to unlock the Critical Severity Boon which is meant to raise you 1.5%, but instead it only gave me 0.1% I contacted the developers and they linked me to these threads. -Bit of a joke really. I'm guessing it won't be fixed and swept under the rug like the PC version?

omg you people saying," I have 10k gs and was at top of leaderboard blah blah." Leaderboard in Tiamat means nothing! I have played with my 18k TR and gotten 10th place, and played my 14k DC and gotten 1st, it means nothing lol.

Maybe I am in a minority. But I did get my gear score up. I'm at 13.2 now in part because I have been playing a lot of Tiamat. I will also be higher soon when I unlock the fourth boon. Very soon. I still believe strongly that a lower gear scored person can be very helpful to the team. My score would be a lot higher if I wore the draconic templar set I acquired, but it is common knowledge for CWs that the High Vizier set is BiS, especially for Tiamat. I could also slot a 2+2 set for stat increase, but that is a waste of the set bonus. I think I lose GS stats from wearing what I wear, but my gear helps every team and myself beyond what a GS number shows. Also, what you don't see buried in my gear score, and what you didn't see when I was 12.1, are the stats from my Ioun Stone of Allure. It's loaded with stats from epic gear and rank 7s in each slot. I am getting closer to 20 on Jewelcrafting with an alt and will be making personalized rings soon for even more buried stats that no one will ever see in my GS.

I'm not necessarily a fan of a 10K with green and blue non-artifact weapons/gear and very little knowledge of the class coming into Tiamat. That's absurd and helps no one. But someone who has a good armor set, like the T1 High Prophet set for DC, can be a strong team player while maintaining a lower gear score. I wish we could find a happy medium, letting lower geared, properly specc'd people play but making it extremely difficult for the people with no knowledge to enter.

@acridbird74 Be careful with the personalized rings. You said you are getting Jewelcraft on an alt up. Once you make the rings personalized they are bound to that character. So you would need to have the character you want to use the rings JC up to 20. I am not at home right now to check but I am pretty sure they are bound. I just put a ring on my Ioun stone and my DC last night. The ring you choose prior to the personalized version can be traded/sold whatever but once they are personalized you cant.

Someone at your Xbox check on that real quick please.

@draven165 thanks! I didn't realize that... but it does look to be bind on pickup in wiki, so that makes sense that you can't transfer. Guess I'll have to wait a little longer for jewelcrafting on my main. No worries, tho. I'm fairly patient and Jewelcrafting doesn't take super long. I will finish out my gemmed pants/shirt set first and then switch to Jewel to get the rings. All good.
