I also agree that grouping would be nice. I also attempt to use "say" to get people on the right course but with the amount of players (also the amount who are not familiar with mmorpg or tactics) it is very hard. Especially with the ones who get insulted by you trying to inform them of the proper strategies involved. Which as arex pointed out it is the "me" attitude that does a lot of harm.

It is absolutely frustrating for sure, and people can be jerks. This begs the question, do we continue trying to get people on board with whatever tactics at the start or just do nothing and see what happens?
I'm not sure about you guys, but the most challenging aspect of herding the sheeple is the lack of a keyboard. Back in the day, I used to just have macros with various raid instructions typed out in full and would just do it that way...not really sure how to do things now...those hot keys would be really useful about now..
It's a shame, because the raid is pretty simple and fun when people are actually doing it, rather than spamming their crocodile tears all over my chat window.
On a more juvenile note... It would be a lot cooler if we could bring mobs up to the vendor area during the raid.....would help anything, but being able to train all the afk'ers could be a little therapeutic ^^
I have a usb keyboard I could use but I do not bother. What I do is when I first log on I prep a few messages by typing them out with the controller and sending via "say". Then when it is time for Tiamat I can just push up/down on the pad in chat to scroll through and send my previous sent messages.

as a DC, I've actually knocked a few enemies in there, unfortunately the aggro was still on me. Thinking of it thought I do have an ability to take 40% aggro away.. Hmmm. Lol
Personally I will just continue to try. No point in just doing nothing. That is just my opinion though.
Please continue being a leader. You and others who do this to help out are the unsung heroes in this game's community. You are all being helpful and trying to better the game experience for everyone.
It is until we get mod 6. If not then please do explain how lifesteal works.
It's already working like Mod 6, whether intentionally or not. Life Steal does not proc continuously.; It has a chance to proc on each attack.
No it does not. As an SW with life steal, I get health with each and every hit. If it did work like mod 6 we would have life steal severity as a stat. Please see my previous post on life steal. Also, my survival would drop dramatically as I have an SW on pc as well for comparison.
Edit: I just verified it again. To test it, edit one of your chat tabs (Log would be the best choice imo) to display only "Combat Self". Then go somewhere and attack a few mobs. You will see life steal proc with each and every hit.

Thank you. There are a lot of people out there doing the same thing. Eventually it will get better for everyone.

How about fixing the other dungeons, and removing vtk, so that all these people with greens and blues have somewhere safe to level up
I agree VTK needs to be addressed but removing completely is not the answer. It needs to be disabled during and after boss fights to prevent loot kicking. It does have other uses that make it good to have around.

Just state a specific time for your group to enter to group up. My friend and I always enter at 20 seconds or 50 seconds until the doors closed and we always get into the same instance.

This does work occasionally but not 100%. However, it is better than nothing!

Just an FYI for everyone, Xbox Smart glass works in the game as a key board as well. If you have the app open and connected, when you hit the X button to enter text the app will open up your devices keyboard. IMO, it's a lot easier than punching in the letters with the controller.
Also, I just want to back you up b0red, you are correct in how life steal works. It definitely does not function the way it does in mod 6 yet as I'm always getting health back while I'm dealing damage. I never get 100% of my damage back.

Nice info there on the smart glass! I forgot about that.
Thank you. I never get 100% back either and it is constantly giving me health. Mod 6 is very tough on life steal builds, will be interesting to see the Xbox community reaction to it. I have a CW and GWF level up for when it hits lol.

Okay, so I tried the whole theory about pulling mobs in to maybe attack the afk'ers. Please understand that I only tried it because we only got 1/4 down on the 2nd head and every one quit/left. Literally we had maybe 10 people and of them, 6 was afk'ers..
this is what I've found;
you can pull them in but only to the healing circle.
Once I entered the circle they would turn around.
if there is anyone outside of it, I can get them to get attacked
This game is no longer any fun. Tiamat is pointless because it's so random. You may as well just flip a coin when you go in and award victories to whoever gets heads.
The new content better come soon or I'll have gone to some other game instead.
The main reasons for defeat is a lot of players have very little dps and hardly anyone takes or uses the gems. Until this changes most runs are a complete waste of time.
Sorry, I know it has been said before, but I truly hope that they put a Gear Score Cap of at least 13k on Tiamat. Now hear me out before all the hate comes pouring in. As you can see this is my 1st post, so this has been one of the only things that I felt I needed to post about.
Okay, so I understand that Cryptic has a cap of 10k for the entire WOD area, and thus 10k for Tiamat as well. But lets get real, what are the odds of 25 10k gs going in and beating Tiamat....slim to none. However, 25 13k+ gs could most likely get it done, it may take to the last second, but they could do it.
Now I know the whole concept of a smart build 10k could probably do better than a not so smart build 13k+, I get that. But what are the odds that out of the 13 10ks I have in a Tiamat lobby, that all of them are built better than the 13k+ that lost their spot to these 10ks? Those odds are slim to none. So why not put that cap of 13k? If they can't Queue for ELOL/ESOT then they should not be able to go in to face Tiamat imo.
Another issue with this 10k gs cap for Tiamat is that the 10ks are skipping right to END GAME material and they have not beat any EPIC, and most likely have not even beaten Castle Never. How does it make sense to let these people who have not progressed through the game like everyone else, go in and get the end game gear? I am utterly confused by that logic.
Now, I am not one of those people who have spent tons of money on the game, AT ALL. I have spent $60, because I have enjoyed playing this game so I spent what the game would cost if I had to buy it. So, I have worked through everything in this game to get my GS of just over 16k. I went through my T1s, then T2s, then Castle Never, then the EPICS. So I EARNED my GS by progressing through the game as one is supposed to do. As I player who has done this, I feel it is not fair to others like me for these 10ks to not only get a shot at end game gear BEFORE they are ready for it. But to also lower the chance/odds of us 13k+ of defeating Tiamat and getting the gear we have been working towards.
That's pretty much all I have to say about this issue. I truly hope that they put a higher gs cap on Tiamat, because being thrown into a lobby where OVER half of it is under 13k is getting really annoying. And I, along with MANY other people, are going to stop playing until something is done because 1-10 13k+ CAN NOT carry 15 10ks people through Tiamat, and we shouldn't have to.
Also, as a side note, for all those people posting, "I have 10k gs and I finished Top 3 on the Tiamat board." Those leader-boards don't reflect ANY sort of skill by you. My 14k DC Finshed 1st with like 200k points, while my 16k TR finished 10th or so with 48k points. My DC is set to only HEAL, and my TR is DPS. So the leader-boards mean nothing.
I agree with Patsfire in that Tiamat is supposed to be endgame and as such access should be restricted to those who are eligible for all previous content (i.e. the 13k limit on Epic Shores etc)
And on a logical point - if your 10k character is as effective as a 13k, why buy more gear and what are the stats for?
Doesn't the increase in power/crit/ap etc change your effectiveness?
My main is a 14.5k DC who does well in Tiamat but I also have a 10.5k CW - Even though he has a good setup (researched the build prior to creation ofc) he would not be effective enough in Tiamat yet.
A reasonable benchmark is; if your character cannot EASILY solo Drake Pens or Prison then do not EVEN CONSIDER entering Tiamat as you will potentially take the slot of someone much better.

Lol. Yea. They rubber band. Had a pretty rough instance and realized I was practically soloing the middle cleric sooooo. Rounded up an old eq caliber train and headed toward the 15+ in the circle. Unfortunately, as a CW my Aggro was too strong.
You know....I don't mind wiping/failing. But the quitting. Mean that makes the blood boil.
All the gs bs is nonsense I have a 1200 gear score and Everytime I play tiamat I am in the top ten yet we never have beat it.
You just have to many idiots assuming we don't have enough gs and camp. Making it impossible to win. And I don't see why you as developers make a game based on grouping up and clanning then make one of the main boss ungroupable. What crack were you smoking when you came up with that decision.
A lot of higher level players leave when they see that the run will fail. That's probably why you ranked so high, or you can also rank high if you did a lot of healing.
I honestly hate seeing people nowhere near the AP soft cap. Soon as I see a few of these, I'll walk right out and get into another instance. If you don't have effective stats, you shouldn't even be in there. Why should the 20kers carry people who didn't even work at the game? I'm for raising the gear score to 13 k even though I know there are people who'd just use set bonuses to enter like they do in Elol and epic shores. I'll give a guy a couple of tries when doing that knowing that I'm carrying them. If we fail, they get the boot. I don't believe in boot and loot but I will kick garbage.
