First of all Choose the destroyer path. Since they changed the class a lot mod by mod. The old build are out of date. It is hard to give u a short answer or link.
GWF is a melee damage dealer class. Ill advise you to play to lvl 70 and explore the content itself you most likely choose an inferior Ability Score roll and Race from what you actually want (if you want min/max). Everything pre-70 is only a prolog/tutorial. It doesn't matter what you do leveling is horribly easy. If you find yourself still having problems your probably better of playing games on your smartphone.

Lazalia's Guide gives good advice for feats, stats and boons, which you should follow as you level up.
At low levels you will end up putting at least one point in almost every power, just by the way powers are gated. Try all the powers for yourself, but don't commit 3 points to a power unless you really like it.
I'd suggest:
Class Features: Destroyer and Weaponmaster. Only ones you'll ever use, probably, so don't waste points on others
Dailies: Spinning Strike, Avalanche of Steel, Slam, Crescendo
At Wills: Sure Strike, Weapon Master's Strike, Wicked Strike (I usually just use the first two, but if you are doing nothing but AoE you can use Wicked instead of SS)
Encounters: Not-So-Fast, Restoring Strike, Mighty Leap, Takedown, Flourish, Come-and-Get-It can all be useful before you hit the end-game encounters Daring Shout/Hidden Daggers/Indomitable Battle Strike. I used to use Come-and-Get-It followed by Not-So-Fast, third encounter varying depending on the fight. Again, try different powers, see if some work better for you.
I use Sure Strike, Weapon Master's Strike, Daring Shout, Restoring Strike, and Flourish myself. So far, I'm really holding my own at level 40. I have as Dailies Spinning Attack and Avalanche of Steel. My class features are Destroyer and Weapon Master. I tried Steel Blitz but I seen it activate once. So I prefer WM over it.
So use Daring Shout and then WMS on a group of mobs, and use SS, Flourish, and Restoring Strike on elites and bosses. Also, Spinning Attack makes you immune to most damage while it's active, so use it on a group of elites or a boss with a bunch of adds.
That's all there is to it until you get the endgame abilities listed above.
As for gear, I stock Crit, ArmPen, Power, and Regeneration for survival. As enchants, I use Draconic Enchantments for the time being. It's not utilizing our full potential, but it is effective, and I've torn through the past 2 areas.
I am looking for information on the new ability that is on my screen. It is on the left in the middle and looks like a dagger with crossed axes in the middle. While I fight the dagger fills up and gets to a maximum but I don't know how to use it. None of my other buttons on the lower area of my screen seem to trigger it. E, Q, R are all different things.

I think you are talking about determination. At a certain level you are able to start using Unstoppable--which allows you to "go berserk" and gives you extra hit points and quicker attacks. When the determination bar is mostly or completely full, you hit "Tab" to activate it.
Thank you to santralafax for clearing that up for me about the determination bar. That is exactly what it is and I am dying less frequently now being able to use it.!
If you are playing any other classes, once you hit level 10 most classes have a "Special" ability that fills a bar of some kind where you see your Determination gauge. In every class, the same button ( TAB on PC, R1 on PS4, don't know Xbox) will activate this power. I think the only class without the extra gauge is the Scourge Warlock; they use TAB to apply their class special, Curse.
Determination/Unstoppable for GWF is something you will be using pretty much any time it is available, and especially if you are taking hard damage or being overwhelmed, as it has a massive damage reduction built in.
As for builds, I have found a great build by RDeviant on MMOMinds.com that is a little different than the normal GWF/Swordmaster/Destroyer builds, and can make you really tough to kill as well as provide great DPS. I have been using a slightly modified version while leveling, but would have probably done better just following this build. I already had the Iron Vanguard chosen when I found this, but now that I just hit 70, I will be respecing to this build. mmominds.com/2016/10/03/mod-10-rdeviants-gwf-destroyer-dpstank-hybrid-pve-build/

Sorry. Necropost. Didn't see that.
