Large (and other sizes) chest of Goods

I had a bunch of large and medium chests from leadership tasks to open. In many of them, I would get a notification that it contained a rare quality reward but everything was green. Other times it said uncommon but everything was white. I just opened one that said rare quality but only got 4 dark enchants, Rank 2 and 2 Radiant Enchants Rank 2. That is not rare quality in either quantity or quality. What gives?

If that was a medium you opened, that would be a rare.

In the case of chests, uncommon, rare, epic works a bit differently than what you see in other things. If you read the description on any chest, it always a chance to open as the next larger chest. In the case of a medium a rare reward. If you had opened a large and it was scheduled by rng to give you the next size up, it would say epic reward. Everytime you open a medium, it will say uncommon except when upgraded. See list below.

Small chest =common
Medium chest = uncommon
Large chest = rare
Very Large Chest = Epic

Nothing to do with the quality of the contents.

Oh ok. That's kind of not very intuitive. When the reward message says it contains a rare reward and then gives me 2 common enchants I think something broke.

It's "rare" for that type of item. It's like being in the tower district, that rare isn't whispering caverns rare.

Just wait until you open a large chest that tells you it's an "Epic".
