Me and you share a common spirit. If you know anything about MMOs, you'll know bugs happen, yes even the incredibly crazy game breaking bugs happen, but they get fixed, and the game goes on. People spend so much time moaning about problems with a FREE game. I paid £8.99 a month for WoW a long long time ago, and that was no more polished than this in its early years. This game is only 2 years old, and 3 months old on Xbox. I love it, and honestly, I see no real issue with it.
Maybe the broken quest on Tiamat launch was a little crazy, but it was fixed within the same day of release.
I see people still don't get the concept of freemium games... It does not matter that this is a free to access game, it still generates more profit than paid for a copy ones. Only short-minded people justify a game based on a fact that it is free. So what?
The bugs are ok, they get fixed and everybody is cool with that. However, it depends. The player base is shrinking extremely fast because the vote kick issue has not been solved. Why does it matter? Because the game will die if it stops generating money: first you will get even less support, and second the game will eventually die. Tiamat's update had big expectations since it was supposed to bring people who left back. That was number 1 goal: to make these people play, to give them more content, to show them that the game is finally vote-to-kick-cancer free so it is now solo playable again. This could have brought many people in, however, they failed. They introduced more bugs instead, big ones, which makes me ask: do they even test the things before releasing them? They did not address the biggest problem, they made bad decisions and changed the queue system in even worse way. I see many people stuck in castle never, because they are 5 DPS'es challenging the drag and they can't get tank/healer in: they kick DPS, they get DPS. So they leave, they fail again. Even if they succeed somehow, they get kicked, because boot & loot is still there.
Getting back to "free to play" concept. Well guys, I pay for you and my friends pay for you so you could enjoy a "free game". I am not one of those "lets spend 1000$" guys (I know few), but I have spent some. The thing is that this game is not solo playable for me anymore: if you are alone, you are done. You can't get fun from PvP (3 perma stun rogues make it really cool to play), you can't do dungeon runs because you will get kicked at least 75% of the times and you have to spend ~15-30 mins trying to get in (or more if you want to play CN with a healer and tank). Sooo solo players are out and their money stays with them.
Times were different like ~1 month ago when boot & loot was far less popular. There were s-load of instances you could join, there were no problems at all and I loved the game, everyone did. It was really cool! But they missed their chance to keep it this way, now there is only one question: will this game survive, or will it die in like next couple of months.
I don't want to sound like I'm just shutting you down. But in my eyes. Most of what you said is wrong. Plus who plays MMOs alone? The game will do just fine. And whoever drops money on the game that's their choice, their donation.
And on the bugs. I'm pretty sure you don't work for a games company. Some bugs will not show themselves in the patch testing, only when they release the patch do they come to light. Like I said, MOST MMOs have a rocky start, and let jus remember Console is a new place for these guys, a new place for any MMO. Your idea that it's "dieing" seems silly to me

I agree with you but to fair that Loot Window 'feature' should have been noticed and fixed prior to release. Even basic regression testing in QA would have shown that the 'freeze' feature. Otherwise think the releases have been well done.
They don't test their games before release. Not properly, at least. They don't even play their own games. The FIRST quest in WoD was bugged. How do you miss that? Epic Lostmauth still drops blues- another issue they were "unaware" of.
There are some serious problems with this game in WoD and now especially in pvp. They just happened to make a fun game, so we put up with it.

You don't simply get mad because of the bugs which make the game unplayable for like a month until they can afford another update?
