ZEN coupon failed

I got a 15% off coupon, with which I bought a stack of keys. I had 1125 zen but because of the coupon it should not have used it all up, and yes it stated the price would be 956 zen, it still took all my zen.

Am I missing something or is this just... bad?

You are missing something but something is also bad.
When you click on the coupon and then press purchase in Zen shop you have a small confirmation window, where you have to choose the coupon AGAIN, or it wont be applied at all

I had to chose to open Zen Shop right clicking over the coupon.

Just opening the Zen Shop window there's a indication of the coupon over the iten but there's no discount.

So, open the Zen through right clicking over the coupon and chose your iten, and even there's no confirmation window to aply the Willy Wonka coupon, start over.

Sometimes too the coupon will not be selectable from the list and you have to log out and back in. I was also tricked as was the OP in the way it is handled now compared to how it used to be done. Such things seem almost intentional in design and deceitful by nature.
