Do you think Roll with the Punches and Bloody Brawler should be combined?

I was thinking that Roll with the Punches and Bloody Brawler should be combined so that one gets .5 deflect and .5 lifesteal per feat point. Mainly I am bothered by 2.5 deflect costing 5 paragon feat points when we get 3 deflect from Heroic feats for 3 points. Additionally, other classes get 5 deflect for 5 paragon feat points and it doesn't seem right for the TR to cost double (even though the TR has a 50% deflect benefit). Something else could be added in place of the missing Feat after combining like maybe a "counter punch" attack where the TR has a 2/4/6/8/10% chance to perform a counter attack when hit and for weapon damage.

Thoughts?

    I'll just say this. The Scoundrel tree is supposed to be a more "get-in-close, duke-it-out" type of rough-fighting style, assisted by daze-CCs. So the devs added in "survival" type of feats, consisted of LS and DR stuff, and then they also added in "CC" type of feats, consisted of daze-inducing triggers.

    ...except, they made those mutually incompatible by placing them at the same tiers.

    Look at how the Executioner or Sabo feats are lined out. Most of their major feats don't conflict each other like that. They are linear, so many builds can take ALL of the goodies laid out by the path.

    Scoundrel? Nope. In the Scoundrel path, everything conflicts each other.

    When I last played a high level scoundrel, even the capstone conflicted with other powers and I wonder if this was every resolved?

    I did a respec on my scoundrel and started a new one and I wondered if the capstone could still proc and overwrite other dazes such as ss from stealth (not that a scoundrel really does that) or dazing or even if it had any conflict with smoke bomb (would likely not be as noticeable since it reapplies itself)?

    This tree has a lot of potential and I think it needs at least another full pass from the devs to sort out all the problems and issues with it.

    I guess the conflicts you meant in particular were how the scoundrel has junk feat or junk feat on one level, then the next is good feat or good feat, then the next is again junk/junk?

    I had to edit as originally I used a word meaning junk that rhymes with cap but apparently that word is prohibited.

    ...you nailed it, friend hedge. That is EXACTLY what I mean.

    Heaps of junk mixed in here and there, and good feats actually appearing at the same tier so you can't choose them both without sacrificing some other equally important thing in other trees that might be at the 3rd tier.., etc etc..

    I hear they are working on some new feats for the scoundrel. One is "busy body" and it is described as "When you run around your target three times, then run away from and run back for at least two seconds you will gain +1/2/3/4/5% movement for 3 seconds". Another is "cryptologist" and is described as "When you do any three of /tell, a /say, a /zone, or a /looking for group all within 5 seconds, your next communication within 5 second of any sort will contain randomly generated characters."

    Cryptologist is weak.

    It would be better if reworked to;

    "If you do three of /lfg, /tell or /zone in succession, you will instantly find a group and gain 10/20/30/40/50 minutes of vote-kick immunity."

    I still think they should give the Scoundrel the "Nut Cracker." Hoo boy, it was one of my best ideas. I wonder if anyone still remembers it.
