Neverember Guard is Bound to Account but can't transfer between characters.

People are having problem with the Neverember Guard companion. Upon acquiring it says it is Bound to Account. However, once it is upgraded - you can no longer transfer it between characters.

You can't put in the bank (despite saying "Double click to put in the bank").

You click it and the game tries to equip it. What gives?

So, uh. Can someone help?

Upon contacting GM Help - the responder just told me it's characters bound and closed the ticket...

    What was the point then to make this one "Bound to Account" if you could claim it with any of your chars? Just make it "Binds on pickup", so all ppl would claim it with the right char. Ehem :|

    Or the companion is broken and is not BtA despite everything indicating that it should be.

    The reason it is BtA is that normally a companion from the Zen shop is BoE, so it can be sold on the AH. This special free companion can't be sold, so it is bound to account.

    The advantage of BtA vs. BoP is that collectors could pass it around to every alt for the collection points.

    When it is named by a character, it becomes bound to that character, just like any other companion ever -- there has never been a companion that could be passed to another character once named and bound.

    Damn, I leveled my Nevember guard on the main char just for the sole purpose of giving it to a lowbie char and so he would have an instant strong body guard... now that you guys explained what this 'Bound to Account' means specifically for companions only, this really upsets me! :(

    All other items in the game that has been labelled as 'Bound to Account' are able to be transfer across characters, including gears. I strongly recommend if this Companion's "bind to account" means differently after equipped, then it should display a Clear Warning Message so the players wont feel they have been tricked!

    Now...I just wasted like 70~80+ companion experience books on this character for nothing... :(

    What's up with this "there has never been ******"? There has never been mounts with combat stats either.
    There have never been rank 12s either.

    What's your point?

    Well, I must agreed with herundrions last comment. Why not introduce BtA companions? This could be the first one.
    But, tbh, I'd rather make it BoP from the beginning and we would avoid all these posts.
