  • The weird thing about AT designs is that all of them are based on something but for some they aren't recognizable due to the sheer level of 'please don't sue us' applied in order to make them different. Granted, a few still look bad or take specific circumstances to not look as bad.
  • Thank you. It was one of those simple pieces that was weirdly missing as an option.
  • Retro Ironclad head piece has a darkened inner mouth and teeth.
  • Bear with me as I'm rather stream of consciousness but I wanted to get this posted. Death Rattle sits in this odd place where I like it but it has a few noteworthy issues where I'm not sure what the right adjustment should be. Particularly in how uneven it seems at times. I guess the question comes down to figuring out who…
  • Destroid Shock Trooper is in an interesting situation in that the one in game isn't one of Dr. Destroyer's robots but is instead using the model of one of the Lemurians. Presumably a bug, this leaves more breathing room for changing the look. Tried to find the right boots and bracers so the Shock Trooper fit in with the…
  • My apologies. I let myself get offended instead of keeping my cool. In many ways I was caught off guard since I'm used to most of the longtime fans of Champions tabletop vocally hating Menton's CO visual design. Added onto the fact that a lot of early CO missions and NPCs tend to involve references and parodies, the…
  • Technically not my intent. I stated "splitting the difference" because in the tabletop he's visually portrayed as more suave and classy (though natively from Spain). Now, I can't say exact MMO game developer intent for him. I actually think him projecting an image of being cooler than he is and a reveal upon defeat would…
  • Bug Final area's two side rooms The two Archmagus on the top ledge seem to get shunted outside the map half the time when you first attack them. This can be mitigated (I jumped behind them and then KBed them into the room center) but this could make completion a problem for some builds (even though they reset position…
  • Next up, Menton! This took some thinking and I think this works. It's better than the original at least. If the character is supposed to be the most powerful human psychic alive, someone so powerful that he can't be kept awake and that Dr. Destroyer has special protections against him, maaaaybe he shouldn't have been…
  • Potential suggestion for the Wrecker AT default outfit. Had a few alternate concepts (like this without the hardhat) but posting this now:
  • Suggestion Considering that the Brute Force EU has a name overlap with the Brute Force mod, suggesting the EU be changed to Inexhaustible.
  • I didn't know circles created aggro on their own. That's sounding more like a bug unless something else is involved. From my experience, I didn't aggro multiple groups when I ran it (Soldier AT for reference). Cobra Lords would fit well with either Lemurians or Therakiel if coming from the idea of them simply being used to…
  • I have requests three: -Master Villain Default from the enemy group that comes with Deadman Walkin' and Nighthawk to gain attacks. It's slightly embarrassing for that common of an enemy to be like that for so long. -Green Dragon gets redubbed with the proper voice. The special alert version is wrong, he already does have a…
  • I'm really hoping the Therakiel tag is a typo, a swerve, or an incidental connection but not the main brunt of the finale. I kinda liked the feel of it as is since it felt like classic superheroics that just happened to have magic in it. The Lemurians felt like they worked well enough as an expansion to what's going on.…
  • While some of the heroes from Bloodmoon simply look old school, Nimbus has some things I feel don't quite work. Her color palette being one of the biggest weaknesses. It's one where it feels like small adjustment can work but the original ideas can be retained.
  • Something I like about Death Rattle so far is that while there may be magical items, it's not really a magic plot. It's very much a mystery about the crime spree with the magic being incidental.
  • This thread should be fun even if they don't get used.I have some of interest and first up is Green Dragon: And hey, maybe they can correct his voice while they're at it.
  • You don't. If you are doing the mission for the very first time, it has a built in narrative delay before the second mission is available. If you have already run the first mission, then it lets you run the second one with no problem.
  • The mission pointer in the lab points at where she was last week in the lab instead of where she's standing now. Minor audio thing. When the mission ends, Ladyhawke's "we're gonna solve this puzzle" vocal audio has this echo like she's in an empty room. Somewhat okay here with this being a lab but more of a heads up for…
  • With some people mentioning that they were having difficulty finding the pearls, I'm wondering something that might be helpful. Can the pearls show up on your minimap when you're close to them? I know that invention nodes do but I don't know if that can be done for clickies and made to fluctuate based on having the goggles…
  • Ladyhawke says six pearls need to be found but the text has a typo that says ten in the second paragraph. Mission says it gives out UNTIL Rec but the character I ran it with was lvl 40. The option at Ladyhawke to ask about the pearl still has the original message even though they now have information on the pearls. Good…
  • Next up is the Predator. I was inspired by the actual icon of the AT but I wanted to play with asymmetry. It's also the one default look that's outright bad as opposed to just something I wanted to do an alternate take for.
  • I'd love to have the twin pigtails style too but slightly leaning more towards wanting it for Native American hair. But as you said, a simple mirror of Side Braid would do a lot.
  • I recently ran it on a lowbie and yes, Surhoff does say they were taken into custody and thus they did survive. All things considered, interrupting the ritual probably saved their lives.
  • One interesting thought that ran through my head that may help or hinder theory is...when does this mission take place? Since the mission can be played anywhere from level 10 to 40, I wonder is there a set time, is it supposed to be chronologically later, or perhaps it connects to other things but is written to be self…
  • Two minor things: -When you first enter the warehouse, if you rush to the ledge the cutscene sounds will overlap instead of turning off the sound from the Ladyhawke hologram. -The female scientists in the lab have arms that don't line up when pouring their beakers. Probably a global emote problem but adjusting it (or using…
  • While part of me is disappointed in it being magic, I'm relieved and intrigued since it's being used to power mechanical gauntlets. It doesn't feel like it's a lead in to everyone's favorite alphabet soup dimension which is where magic plots turn me off.
  • Ladyhawke doesn't seem to be giving out her mission to a new character. Also: Bug PTS (new character) Your main chat tab displays your NPC and Combat info despite that not being checked in the chat options.
  • I've been wondering that. StE is up on PTS but I don't know if anyone has actually run it to see.
  • The pearl does go into your inventory. It's just that the new inventory setup has a dedicated tab for quest items. You also get a quest item for her hologram. The combat is odd since I notice the enemies do change attacks based on your level. I don't know if it scales up even more with a team or not.
  • Kinda does in a way but I feel a Steel Crusade comparison is a compliment. Discovered one more typo: Ladyhawke says to meet her downtown but the lab is in City Center.
  • I see a problem right at the beginning. Ladyhawke introduces herself as being from Bunker Buster. However, I tested this on a lvl 13 character who is thus incapable of having a Nemesis. It might be best, timing permitting, to have alternate text based on if you have or have not run Bunker Buster. Or at least if you're less…
  • With the Sub-Zero Cellblock advantage on Ice Cage, the Glacier just might be the best at phase 1 dog pulling at Kiga. Separate from that, you might want to call out the free ATs in your list since it is worth noting if you want a certain playstyle and it's already available.
  • I don't think it needs to be that finely split. It's just a point to bring up in how it ranks against others. Also, there simply aren't a ton of tank ATs.
  • In the comment of ranged tanking being dubious, I'll say that tanking is potentially the role most subject to fluctuation due to surrounding factors. Most big enemies want to get in your face so that skews things outside of other strengths and weaknesses. I only have personal experience to go on but I quit my Behemoth…
  • Variance of use is an important thing to bring up. I want to say ease of use...but it's not always an ease/difficulty curve. Since we're on Tanks, we can look at the difference between the two free Tank ATs. Glacier is better at surviving multiple small hits so it tends to be better at leveling while the Behemoth is better…
  • Bug Heavy Cannons unlock On females it is missing the extra textures like Holoforce, Psionic, etc
  • Don't know about the legs but the shoulders are the Pattern Armor from the Z Store. Has several different visuals per piece, including the skulls shown here.
  • Worth pointing out that while LnL lost its raw crit, it still has a cost discount and a damage buff. It doesn't just give out Furious.
  • Suggestion The daily for Andrith Ruins should probably suggest a team instead of making it look like it should be done solo. It's not impossible but not likely for most players.
  • Bug Soooo...I've unlocked the Specialist AT but I forget how. Presumably either an Arc or Alienware thing. Now, I've had the character for a while but when I transferred them to PTS I got this: I did participate in the old AT rotation but I didn't have this character then. I hope this is just PTS weirdness (since I…
  • Two things. One, I think you do good pointing out that CO has a lot of "almosts"--enemy groups that may have potential for interesting gimmicks but they're fairly weak in implementation. Second, I'll point out that many of the CoH enemy groups improved over time. A few in post I14 years (when I started) gained one new…
  • Technically, it does have Mega Destroids.
  • Personally, I think the devs have already figured it out but not with the main cosmics. Q Invasion and High Noon are worlds better since there's things OTHER than just the one big boss and it's generally in an entirely different area so healers need to split up instead one healer handling everything. As far as existing…
  • I'd argue that devices really skews things. I plan a longer response since I think what CO can and can't do concerning Masterminds is kinda complex instead of an apple to apples comparison. What I will point out is that I'm pretty sure the Inventor AT trends kinda close to being a Mastermind build for CO.
  • A lot of the threads in this section could probably stand to lose their stickies. It's a bit of a wall and some are clearly past the date where they would be important.
  • Bug Tailor Leather and Cloth missing from Armor Basic leg accessories costume on females. BBCode: Suggestion Add the Overalls pattern to some skirts as well as the pants it's already on.
  • While not to lezard's level of vocality, I also think it's unwise to make the Q version available on Day 1. A whole six month delay seems to be a bit too much I'd think it would be wise to promote actually doing the content in the game. Or I think the better argument is to compare it to event currency. A lot of old…
  • Alternately, there people are people who knew about it but don't know it's still around. Bumped into a few people like that who express surprise when I mention that I play.
  • Sitting and thinking it over, I get part of the fact that reordering would be done this way due to ease of coding. My main concern is that I don't think it actually accomplishes anything positive. If I want to play the last character I played previously, the cursor already stays on that character. Reordering doesn't…
